Nestled in Puerto Plata, this lovely condo for $214 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Please do not auto book without sending me an inquiry message first. Condo has it's own private path that leads to private bar and pristine Playa Dorada beach. Elegant and luxurious two level condo with: 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, fully equipped designer kitchen, large balcony, wifi, cable TV, A/C throughout, and screens throughout if you prefer to enjoy the ocean breeze. I recently stayed here on a family vacation and I had such a great time. The condo is all new and updated as well as extremely clean. It is only a couple min walk right over to the beach. The beach was absolutely beautiful and their is a restaurant right on the beach which was extremely convienent. I would definitely go back and stay again.

It was a nice place to spend our vacation with friends. It is a well equipped apartment with lots of dishes and cooking supplies. A very large master bedroom with king bed and the smaller bedroom with two queens for our friends. San Marino is a very quiet place to spend a vacation.

The beach suffered from seaweed inshore about half the days we were there, but a short walk in either direction took us to clean water. The location of the condos, so close to the shopping center is a real plus. We fixed food at the apartment half the time and ate dinners out other days. Many good and reasonable restaurants within walking distance, Jack Tar, Playa Dorada Golf Course, and the Casa Colonial.
Renting here will not disappoint you.

The condo was clean, very well equipped and felt safe. Cindy was just great! She quickly took care of a few things that came up. My girls loved the pool, spouse & I loved the beach. Everyone was friendly. It was easy getting around the city in the rental car. Driving was quite interesting, had to be 125% alert at all times. I would recommend this condo any time! We plan on returning😊 A special thanks for the home made dulce de leche, it was delicious!

We stayed here for a month and enjoyed every day of it. The place is on the top floor and with a view of the park and Dorata mall. Very large deck with a lounge and a dinner table. The place itself used to be an all-incusive resort, but it has been converted to a complex of privately owned condos, and most condos are owned by Dominicans. As a result it is deserted during the week, so you get the pool all to yourself. And on the weekends you get to meet a lot of locals that come there for a short stay. Most of them speak good english and are a well of information on local customs.
We cooked all our meals and found the kitchen was adequately stoked. It could probably use an updated large frying pan, a few sharp knives or a good knife sharpener and a few shot glasses. We've added a peeler and a couple of knives to the inventory.
The furniture is a bit dated, the sleeper sofa is not very comfy to sit on for extended period of time, and one of the balcony chairs is on its last breath, but on the other hand, you aren't there to sit inside.
Because of the position of the building (closest to the mall with a night club and a disco-tech in an open courtyard of the mall) there were a few nights when we could hear very loud music in the condo until 4am, but hey, you are on vacation, just sleep it off during the day :-)
Cindy (the owner) is very responsive and accommodating. We had 2 minor issues which were resolved very quickly.
Overall we are very happy with our vacation.

Started planning our Christmas vacation back in July. Cindy(owner) answered my many questions honestly and quickly. She gave us her home phone number and my wife knew that we had found a great place to stay. Upon arrival, she had her niece pick us up and get us settled. Then she took us grocery shopping so that we could stock the well equipped kitchen. The condo has an upstairs bedroom and a downstairs bedroom. That way we could put the kids in their own area. The large deck is where we spent our evenings having a cocktail or playing games. Cindy arranged for a couple of ladies to come cook for us a traditional DR meal. The food was excellent and plentiful. We enjoyed eating a few meals at the beach bar The food was inexpensive and good. The restaurants in the complex are limited. You can take a taxi to town which will cost about $30 rt. The beach is very clean. If you want to take a tour or excursion, be sure to ask for Gilbert. He walks the beach and arranges tours. Our favorite was a trip to Country world adventure park. It included a trip to Damajagua falls, with zip lining, horse back riding, a home cooked traditional meal, and a zoo. Well worth it! The condo is situated in an area with a bunch of all inclusive resorts. We became friendly with some folks staying at the inclusive next door and they paid a lot more for a smaller room with lousy food and bad entertainment. Big pool with internet. Unfortunately, a death in the family prevented us to stay the full vacation. Cindy was very understanding and we hope to return soon so that we can finish the vacation that we were really enjoying.

April 2015, we just finished two months at San Marino residences in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata. It was the best long term condo rental anyone could ever experience in the Dominican Republic.
The condo itself was spacious bright, clean, with up to date appliances and was well stocked with plenty of houseware items. Plenty of fresh linens and towels were provided and an onsite cleaning and laundry service was at our disposal making our stay even more enjoyable.
This was our first long term stay through the winter months. The condo owner Cindy, took all of the concerns about this sort of stay away from us. She provided all the information and assistance we needed. Any question we posed was answered timely and in detail. Knowing that we had a go to person at every step of the way was a great comfort to us.
The grounds, pool and reception area were beautiful and very well maintained. The staff was very helpful and understanding, making us feel welcomed. We felt very safe at all times at San Marino as well as the Playa Dorada complex. Transportation was never an issue as the taxi service was reasonable, very reliable and willing to go just about anywhere on the North Coast.
All in all, we discovered a wonderful area of the Dominican. From the spectacular beach and private beach bar, large pool, Ocean World, golf, drinks on the Malecon, to fine dining, our two month stay could not have been better. This was a great place to start experiencing genuine Dominican culture!

My self, wife and two sons stayed at the San Marino Beach Condo for two weeks.
We had a great time, our stay there was very comfortable. The staff at the development were very helpful and always there when needed. In talking with Cindy before our stay assured me that our stay would be a pleasant one and it was everything and more. The pool is well maintained, restaurants in the area were great which were recommended by Cindy and of course the beach was pristine. Our unit was simply beautiful, it was clean and well maintained and has everything you can ask for. The unit was a penthouse unit which had two bedrooms and a lot of room. While there I had looked at a few other units which were converted from one bed room to two bed rooms but the second bed room had no windows which meant no sun light in the room. I will most definitely recommend this unit to family and friends and I can't wait to return.

I never write these reviews and I have rented many places throughout the Dominican. However, I felt the need to write this one because Cindy, the owner, was so awesome to deal with. Right from the beginning she was prompt in her responses and accomodating with anything I needed. The apartment is great and has everything you need. We loved sitting out on the balcony and often used the BBQ out there. The beds are also very comfortable. The pool is awesome and the beach is a short walk away. Overall, the apartment and complex is great. The only downside would be that there is no wifi in the apartment, which I would have liked, but you can get access by the pool and lobby. So not a big deal!
I will definitely be renting from Cindy again. We ended up needing to stay an extra few days, and she had no problem helping us out. I've been to Puerto Plata many times, but for anyone who is visiting for the first time Cindy is VERY knowlegable about the city and playa dorada complex. She provides you with a list of restaurants and things to do. Or if you have any questions while you are there, she responds immediately. Can't say enough great things about Cindy!!
One last thing, as I am a golfer. There is a golf course across the street from the apartment. I could walk over in the morning and be there in about 3 minutes. The course is great and the caddies there are very friendly. I even went over a couple times to just hit some balls.
Overall, we had an awesome time! From the apartment, to the complex, to the location, to the beach, to the owner, all are top notch! I will be back!!
