Nestled in Puerto Plata, this lovely villa for $253 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. WELCOME to our beautiful Caribbean “piece of paradise”, Villa de las Sirenas (House of the Mermaids). There are breath-taking ocean views, your own private pool and a beautifully landscaped yard. The property is completely fenced to ensure your privacy. This is a beautifully custom-built villa with 5 bedrooms that will comfortably sleep 12 people and 5 full baths (one outside by the pool for your convenience). It is within walking distance of the ocean front beach, a convenience store, several restaurants and bars, Ocean World (a mini sea world that children will love) and a full-service marina. The rental fee includes a professional, attentive and amazing full-time staff to make your vacation perfect. This includes a Chef, housekeeper and gardener and pool attendant. The staff is trustworthy, kind, fun and you will love them. Imagine having all of your meals prepared, your beds made daily, all of your personal needs attended to, your excursions designed and customized for you and your family and/or guests, and your transportation to and from the airport arranged. No worries, no hassle!! Enjoy the private pool while you lounge in the sun surrounded by luscious, manicured, tropical garden areas. If you prefer, take a 2-minute walk to Cofresi beach and play in the warm, rolling waves. Tania, our talented villa chef, will prepare and cook just about anything your heart desires, including delicious Dominican cuisine. We have a culinary guide that will help you determine what food and beverage you will need to purchase. Your food will be fresh and properly washed for consumption. To purchase your food you can send Tania with money to the grocery store to buy food of your choosing, including liquor, beer and wine, or you can accompany her to the store to purchase your food and beverage. A trip to the gocery store with Tania is always a fun exprience. In addition to Tania, included in our staff is an assistant housekeeper, a pool/gardener/errand person, an excursion and event planner and a security guard. Our property and staff manager, Gabino, (who speaks very good English) will arrange taxis or transportation. Gus (not part of our staff) will drop by to offer you an array of excursions that will be customized for you and your party. Gus can also arrange in-house, private, massages or other spa treatments. Recommended and closest airport is POP (Puerto Plata). The closest alternative is STI (Santiago). We can arrange transportation to and from either airport. Transportation from STI is a more expensive, but no rental car is needed. The cost of taxi and transportation is not included in the rental fee. In advance of your arrival, several emails will be sent with detailed information regarding our villa, staff, excursions, house rules, transportation and your culinary options. This will help answer any questions and make your vacation in paradise a dream come true. Our family group of 6 had an excellent experience. The combination of great weather and fantastic support staff made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. The location and home was exactly as pictured - very beautiful. Every evening we had a nice breeze from the ocean and were able to hang out and enjoy the nice patio. Having Tonia and staff prepare our meals made our vacation super easy. Our adult kids walked down to the beach and went out for cocktails - no issues at all and very authentic Dominican experience. Paul and Nancy were super helpful and responsive to all our questions. We will return to DR and enjoy again in the future.

We had a great stay at Villa de las Sirenas! The staff- Tania, Yanni and Naricso, they were friendly, helpful and very accommodating (thank you again!). Area was very quiet which was nice. And the home is beautiful and spacious; because of the weather naturally it can get warm and humid inside in the house during the day - having the doors open helps - so try to take advantage of the great pool and nearby beach; and the AC can be used at night so that is a huge help. Overall, my family, we really enjoyed this stay.

Beautiful house with nice pool, and nice staff. The home has plenty of space with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It’s located a short walk from the beach, although the beach isn’t the best beach near Puerto Plata. Gus will help with any excursions or transportation. We really enjoyed ourselves and would come back if we go back to DR.

Our trip was amazing. The house was exactly as was depicted- just stunning. Tonya, Jonny, Narciso and Gabino were the best! Tonya’s food was delicious!! Paella, chicken, rice and beans….all on point.
We would absolutely visit again! Thank you for such a great vacation!

The house was amazing. We spent more time than I thought at the Villa. It's perfect. Add the outstanding staff and this property is the ideal vacation villa. Gus set up perfect tours and gave us plenty of advice to decide which excursions would work best for our group. I would definitely rent this Villa again. The property owners and staff assistance with the travel tips, getting around and area suggestions were also very helpful when leaving the property. Thank you all for everything during our stay!!!

Such a beautiful home! We had a wonderful time. It was a real treat to have the staff preparing our food and keeping the place spotless. My favorite part was sitting on the upstairs porch with the breeze from the ocean washing over me.
If you're looking for activity, you'll have to book adventures through Gus or another travel planner. These choices are fun, but definitely designed for the tourist. I recommend the ATV trip - ideal for teens!
We were able to book a fishing excursion, bring home the fresh fish, and have Tania cook it for us. Awesome!
If order to get off the beaten track, you'll need to be bilingual and to book with a local taxi driver. This is NOT the place to rent a car and attempt to navigate on your own. Traffic rules are non existent here. Also, be prepared to witness all the bumps and bruises of society - prostitutes, pollution, police armed with machine guns...

Everything about our stay was amazing! Tanya and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, and Gus was both helpful and accommodating with our excursions and massages.
Tanya had picked up groceries and made dinner for our arrival, and we even went to the store with her to get a more authentic Dominican Experience. Everything she made us was delicious and the house was kept very clean.
The pool was fantastic for our two tweens to play in and the view of the ocean from the backyard was beautiful. The beach was also lovely to swim in and if you look for the rockier sand you can also find sea glass.
We brought cash but also went to the ATM at ocean world to get money for our excursions and poolside massages.
You will not be disappointed with your stay!

View and house were spectacular! Tonya, Yanny, Narcisso were all accommodating and a pleasure to be with. Any issue (no water) was dealt with immediately. The meals were excellent. What a treat not to have to cook. Pina Colodas were delicious. Can’t say enough about how royally we were treated by the staff.

This is the 3rd time we’ve visited the villa and each time is always a great experience. The staff is top notch and I can’t say enough good things about the staff. The food is one of the main reasons we come back and the service at the house. They accommodate all of our requests and make sure you feel like you are staying at your own home. We feel the staff I’d like our extended family. The only thing I would say is that I wish screens can be installed on all the outside doors so we can enjoy the fresh air without the bugs and mosquitoes. We were eatin alive this time. We didn’t realize that it was mosquito season. But that would be my only feedback. Everything else was amazing. We will be back soon!

We had a lovely time. the pictures match the property. Tonya took great care of us. Gus came to setup the excursions. Gus also made sure we had lunch one day after the excusrion. We had a beautiful couples massage on the balcony! We felt so well taken care of. The views are spectacular!

The property was exactly as advertised. Tonya and crew are amazing (don’t miss her braised pork chops). The beach nearby is not terribly clean but the view and water are beautiful and the Villa is a great launching spot for all the local attractions. The excursions manager makes planning activities seamless. Highly recommended!

The villa is beautiful was true to the pictures advertised. Tanya & Jani are the best their attention & communication is amazing anything you need they are available to provide or suggest. The food they cook is delicious you will not be disappointed. We spend much of our day enjoying the pool. Everything was kept very clean to which is a big plus when looking for a place to stay. It’s quiet not much noise from the resort so it was relaxing & peaceful. My only complaint are the mosquitoes the repellent was like sugar to them.

This villa is absolutely stunning. The communication never waiver. The last minute driving is a bit off road so we were mindful when driving out in the dark. The MOSQUITOS will devour you with no rest. If we weren't physically in the pool or in the bedroom with AC, no repellant can save us. This villa is a dream and I wish the mosquitos situation could be fixed. I would gladly return back then.

This was our third trip to this Villa. It’s always amazing. The staff is top notch. Tonya’s cooking is amazing. Let her cook you typical Dominican breakfast. You won’t be sorry. Yanni is so attentive to all your needs. Narciso is an excellent worker. He keeps the pool pristine! Gustavo was so easy to work with on excursions. Highly recommend for the perfect vacation!

Furnitures needs to be updated, mosquito’s don’t live you alone since you wake up until you go back to bed, stove has a very strong gas odor, no screen at any of the doors or windows, very nice staff

From the get go, the owner Brian is extremely helpful. They send you a packet with basically the answers to any questions you could have. He responds quickly to any questions via email. On our arrival, Gabino, the house manager and the other employees were there to great us and make sure we were all set. They were so accommodating right from the start. Because it was later in the day we went down to Charros for supper which is about a 2 min walk. It was reasonably priced, great food and wonderful service. The next morning we arranged our excursions with Gustavo and it was quick and easy. Be sure to bring lots of cash as we paid up front in cash for these . You will also need cash to tip the house staff. On the first morning we also finalized the menu and went to the store with Tonya which was a fun experience. She and Yanny cooked everything we asked for and made the best Pina coladas we have ever had! The house is beautiful and very clean and the ocean view is stunning. The beach nearby is nice but not a touristy beach, more of a local beach. We did the waterfall excursion, catamaran trip and a deep sea fishing day for the boys while the girls stayed back and got amazing massages on the deck which was also arranged through Gustavo. I would highly recommend the massages! Gabino made sure the lab came out and did our covid tests the day before we left and again this was made very easy for us. We had some brief illnesses with a few of our travelers and Tonya was extremely kind and accommodating. The house is very peaceful and while you can hear the resort music at times, it never bothered us and it ends plenty early at night. The air conditioning more than keeps up in the bedrooms at night and we found the house comfortable during the day with the doors and windows open. We were out at the pool most of the time during the day anyway. Narciso was happy to run down for water or beer to the nearby market and its only about a 3 min walk to get snacks if you need to. Overall, we were delighted with this house, the staff and the management. They do everything possible to make the trip relaxing and stress free. I will say though that if you are looking for a lot of nearby tourist activities, this is not the location as it does involve some travel to the excursions but we didn't mind that and we primarily wanted to be together as a family anyway. Highly recommend!

Great home, great experience, great vacation. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to have a great experience in the Dominican Republic. The hosts Brian and Patsi were very helpful, informative and honest. The home is as advertised, very nice and well taken care of. The staff are phenomenal, Tonya is a great cook and an amazing person. Narcisco is always looking to help in anyway he can, another great person. There are a lot of things to do within a short drive or just stay on the property and enjoy a relaxing time. We have traveled to many different islands and stayed at similar homes and this one is as good as any or better. We will definitely stay here again on our next DR trip. This property was correctly represented. It is an amazing villa and the staff are equally amazing!! Friendly and very helpful. The villa was kept spotlessly clean while we were there and Tonya & Yani cooked delicious meals. Narcisco was always willing to run any errand we asked and he does a most wonderful job of keeping the grounds up. The night watchman was much appreciated also. Gabino was there to greet us and show us around and the first morning we were there Gus arrived to help arrange any tours we were interested in. Brian communicated very well and was super helpful with the questions we had before arriving in the DR. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to do it again sometime!

This was fantastic! Very easy to book. Owner was phenomenal. Very responsive. Beautifully decorated and views were amazing. We will definitely be back. The housekeeper/cook was amazing. The only three things: Gus was supposed to come on our first night to help set up our tours. He didn't which means we missed a day to do activities the first night. We were told we'd get our Covid test on Sunday but found out that the lab was closed. So we lost last day to sit by the pool and relax.

Brian & Patsi’s home is by far in my top three places to stay. It’s well maintained , extremely clean, spacious, great location, safe & overall beautiful and relaxing. We’re already trying to plan a return trip. Brian was great with communication and accommodating my special requests. Special shout out to Tonya and Narcisso who also made our stay pleasurable. The Positive:
Our experience at this property was really good overall. When we arrived they were all waiting for us with a smile. The property was clean and beautiful. The staff are frendly and they are always trying to help you and make your stay the best possible. The host is one of thr best we have had since he sends you email with ALL of the info you will ever need about the property. I mean it. All of it, and that was amazing!
The negative:
The only thing I can say its a negative is the cofresi beach. Its not that bad but it has contaminated water (black water) going straght to the beach. This is not related to the property itself which is pretty good but a goverment issue.
Overall a good pick. In my humble opinion: THE BEST VALUE for the money.
