Nice, quiet location, with friendly neighbors. Lake access with it's own boat ramp was very helpful. The house is beautiful inside and all the rooms are very comfortable. We were there in summer but it seems like it would be a great place year round.

The house was very nice and well stocked with dishes, towels, and even some spices. The beds are a little worn, but usable. The deck had some soft spots and needs attention. The dock was not safe and needs updating. The toilet in the basement would not flush.

Great Grandma and Grandpa decided to visit from Florida. I wanted to show them what heading Up North was all about. We lucked out and were able to rent this home for a few days. The space was large enough to accommodate everyone. The space was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We made family meals and played games. We enjoyed the dock and bonfire pit. The little ones even caught some fish off the dock. We did not have a boat unfortunately and the water was not suitable for swimming (as stated in prior reviews) however I would not hesitate to stay here again. We all had a great experience.

House was really nice, clean and well appointed. Beds and pillows comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Having AC was nice the couple of days it got really hot. Recommend bringing shampoo and any kitchen spices aside from salt you need but definitely one of the nicer we've stayed at. Perfect for our family. Situated on a nice little channel, quiet not much boat traffic. Nice spot to put in our kayaks.

Our family loved this home! It's log cabin interior was beautiful and spacious enough for our large group. The owner provides everything you would need for your stay, no need to bring anything., except swimming towels. It was clean and in a quiet area of the lake. We knew that there would be no swimming beach, and swam off a pontoon we rented. The owner was helpful with questions and responded quickly. We will stay here again!

Beautiful location and very comfortable home with plenty of space - cozy warm in the very cold winter! The kitchen and house is well equipped.
Working through a property management company is not as smooth as direct communication with owner or local contact. Bedding and pillows are worn and need to upgraded and internet was spotty at best- The house was adequately clean but not as carefully cleaned as I would have expected.

great lakefront getaway
This was a perfect place for taking kids after homeschool and quarantine! The layout of the house along with the spacious yard fit our needs with kids and dogs perfectly.
We were able to navigate a boat to the dock, the outdoor fire was fun and the outdoor seating was great for family meals.
Ike, the owner, was incredibly flexible with our time and any needs we had while we were there.
We won't hesitate to stay here again.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the location.
Pillows could be replaced in some of the bedrooms. Pretty old and worn out
Some of the linens on the beds need to be replaced. Stained with makeup on pillow cases when we arrived. We're able to find fresh linens without stains in basement.
Front storm door soft close hinge broken and door was slamming very hard. We did not have any children but would be concerned about kids getting their fingers slammed in door
Would be helpful to have the dock labeled which one is for the property. We accidentally used the wrong dock. The neighbor was very polite and told us we were on the wrong dock. Would be nice to know which one is correct though to avoid bothering the neighbors and being on their property

Great Cabin
The cabin was wonderful, clean, spacious, and everything in good working condition. We loved the very large deck, but there are some boards that should be replaced. The one drawback that keeps it from being 5 stars is the heavy lily pads and mucky water. We knew that there was no view of the lake, the cabin is on an inlet, but did not know that the inlet would be so thick with vegetation.

Overall our group had a good time but thought some items were slightly misrepresented in the listing and some work to the property was needed. Our group still had a good time and enjoyed our stay but this property didn't really fit our group very well. We were a group of 4 couples each with an infant. This property would be better suited for a group of 8 or less, and one WITH a boat. The owner was very responsive when asked questions as well. With a little work this could be a 4 or 5 star rental property but it fell a bit short of our groups expectations and needs. That said for the right group this property might be perfect.
Pros:
Decent size bedrooms- all the rooms were big enough to fit 2 adults and a pack n play with infant.
Access to great water system (If you have a boat)
Quiet area, and friendly neighbors
Cabin was clean
Beds were comfy and furniture was generally in good shape
Close to town
Deck was large
Cons:
Lake Shore was shallow, mucky and weedy, not swimmable at all, Also not on the main lake so it didn't feel quite like a lake cabin
Outside area was small and sloped so usable area was limited to the deck/patio
Fridge was small and outdated and leaked
Kitchen dishes, silverware, cooking tools, pans, towels, etc were in rough shape and minimal
Deck and Dock were in very rough shape (but felt structurally sound)
Wifi was slow
Entertainment at the cabin was limited, (no water toys, canoe/kayak/paddleboard games, cards, etc were available for use or provided.)
TVs were old projection TVs and not high def (for us, this was a non issue)
Common areas (kitchen and living rooms)were a bit small for a larger group
No recycling
One bedroom is on the main level and not private or quiet at all.

Let me start off by saying our group has rented numerous houses over the years for an annual outing we take in Minnesota or Wisconsin. The house was easy to find and in a great area. It was very clean upon arrival. We had concerns whether there was enough propane gas, but the owner immediately responded with potential solutions. Our bigger issue started after we put our food in the refrigerator. Within an hour we discovered food on the top shelf was wet as well as standing water on the top shelf. There had been a bowl on the shelf and we moved it. That was a mistake since it had been placed there to catch the dripping water. A previous review had mentioned this same problem which is still ongoing. The shower door on the main floor did not close properly on the bottom so water leaked onto the floor. Also the grout in the bathrooms needed to be replaced. The deck is in need of repair/replacement as some of the board are deteriorating. The house is in need of some TLC which would greatly improve the experience. Consensus in our group is would would not come back with so many other options available and the other houses we have rented over 15 years did not have as many issues.

Our party of 4 adults and 3 kids stayed in mid-June. We were very happy with the location, it’s very easy to get to, it’s close to town and the neighbors are great! Communication with the property contact is great!! We had to contact the manager of the property upon arrival as there were many issues, one of them being the cabin not being properly cleaned by the cleaning service crew. (Tip: check the bedding to make sure it was properly laundered.) After we complained about dirty bedding and other cleanliness issues to the property manager the main cleaning lady stormed up to the house at nearly 10pm, and accused us of lying, we showed her the dirty bedding and other things that weren’t properly cleaned and she then admitted to “spot cleaning” bedding because she thought it looked “clean enough”. My advice: Bring your own sheets and pillows. I can’t sleep on microfiber or polyester sheets and didn’t trust that any in the storage room were thoroughly clean anyway so I went to the Dollar General in town and bought 100% cotton sheets and fluffy new pillows so we could enjoy our sleep, all of the pillows in the house were like pancakes. That cost us over $100 so save yourself money and bring bed linens and pillows from home. I also had to buy coffee mugs because there were only 3 when we went to have coffee the first morning, but I left them so there should be 7 now. The “bedroom” on the main floor is an office that they put a queen bed into, it doesn’t have a closet, dressers or night stands-it’s just a bed in a tiny room. There is absolutely no way anyone would be able to swim at the property, it’s packed full of weeds. The weeds did cause a bit of issue with one of the smaller boat motors, it would get tangled with weeds upon exit and entry to the property. The fishing was excellent on the chain when we were there. Visit the bait shop (not the gas station) near Dairy Queen in town and the owner will fill you in on where to go to catch the type of fish you are wanting to catch. We launched a small 14 foot boat at the property but couldn’t get down to the lake with our 18 foot deep-V boat because of the tight corners of the property so we launched at the campground in town. It was a great place to stay once the issues were resolved. The A/C works flawlessly, which is a huge plus when it’s hot and humid! If you have any issues when you arrive let the property manager know, he’s great to work with and cannot fix issues if he doesn’t know about them.

Spacious home on Little Pine Lake
This home was perfect for our family! Everyone had a bed and bath. Very clean! Loved the wood floors and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. So nice to be able to dock our boat and head out fishing. Owner was quick in responding to a few questions I had about the property. Peaceful and beautiful too!

Summer fishing vacation
Cabin interior was beautiful. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The main appliances we used were the Fridge, microwave and coffee pot. There were issues with the Fridge prior to our visit but was resolved by the time we arrived. The owner was very responsive when we contacted him. The deck is very spacious. We brought our 17 foot fishing boat and had no issues launching from the yard. It was very convenient to be able to pull it out and clean it off with a hose right on site. As mentioned in a previous review it is too weedy to swim at the Property at this time of year but after fishing Little Pine and Daggett we observed that there is pretty heavy weed cover in front of most properties on the lakes. We rented kayaks for the first time and this location is actually ideal since there is very little boat traffic and it is very calm. You can quickly get out on the main part of the lake in the kayaks by just taking a left and go under the bridge. By boat you need to take a right and go through the channel. There are a few updates that could be made to improve the renter experience: we had a little trouble with the lock on the side door, a few deck boards could be replaced and the dock could be a little sturdier. We have rented properties for summer vacations for over 20 years and these aren't issues that would prevent us renting this property again.

It needed a lot of repairs
We were unable to swim at the house because there were too many weeds. The propane tanks for the grill were empty, and the oven didn't work well, so cooking was a challenge. The refrigerator leaked water inside, all over our food. Cupboard doors fell off when you opened them.
With some TLC, the place would have been fine, but someone needs to get into the cabin and give it some attention, It was a beautiful area in Cross Lake, with great restaurants, and a nice beach about three miles away from the cabin.
