Fantastiskt hus med underbar utsikt, vacker miljö både inom- och utomhus, det fanns alla bekvämligheter och en stor fin pool. Hela egendomen andades historia. Smidig incheckning och värden var hjälpsam och trevlig.
Sängarna/madrasserna var hårda och skulle behöva uppgraderas.

Good instructions to locate the property. Handover staff. Lovely spacious and generally comfortable Villa in nice grounds. Great pool. Great location - remote but with convenient access to local shop, bar and rail station. Easy access to Florence.
Single beds in two of the bedrooms were not so comfortable for adults (would probably be fine for kids). A maintenance guy lives in a connected apartment - he was friendly/helpful and not deliberately intrusive, but it did compromise privacy a little.

The villa is in a nice, quiet location with fabulous views and just a short drive down to the town of Sieci. Overall the villa was very comfortable, although the lack of air conditioning was disappointing. There are ceiling fans in all but two of the rooms which worked well, but those in our party who were in the rooms with portable fans did struggle. To be fair we were there during a very hot period. The pool is beautiful - the kids would have spent all day in there if they could have done. The terrace area for eating was very pleasant - there were several areas where you could eat but we generally used the same one. There is an on site gardener / handyman who was always helpful when we needed him. Finally, although Sieci doesn't have much to offer, it does have one of the best gelato shops we have ever been to. We all frequented it regularly!!
On our introductory tour of the villa we were advised not to drink the tap water unless it had been boiled. This was fine, but the provision of a few bottles of water would have been a nice touch (6 large bottles from the local supermarket only cost 2 euros). In fact, a small welcome pack with a few basic necessities would have been appreciated. All that was provided was 2 dishwasher tablets. Fortunately we had brought a handful with us so didn't have to buy any. The wifi was very poor, particularly given that it costs 20 euros for the week. It only worked within a very limited range and not at all out by the pool where many of our party wanted to use it - fortunately 4G reception was good! Although the villa is on a secure gated site, there is another house on the site which we understand belongs to the owners. It would have been nice to know who was there at different times. These people as well as the gardener and the friends who visited him all potentially had access to our part of the site. This was never actually a problem but some communication would have been helpful. We were provided with two sets of keys but as we were effectively four families this caused some logistical difficulties - at least one extra set would be helpful. Finally, there are several meter readings which are taken at the beginning of the week and then again at the end. Again, this was not a problem, but there was no opportunity to work out whether what we were charged was accurate or not.
