Nice place to experience tatami

This was a really nice three star hotel with wonderful views of Lake Kawaguchiko. It was great for walking around the lake, to the nearby shops and restaurants and parks. We had half board and both the breakfasts and evening meals were lovely - plenty of options, tasty and freshly prepared.
The snacks and drinks in reception (all day) and the drinks included in the dinner were much appreciated.
The staff in the hotel were exceptionally kind and helpful.
The bath was too small to have a bath in it.

We had a beautiful view of the lake. The breakfast was better than expected. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The library in the foyer was a winner. My teenage son spent every second he could there which was handy in the wet weather.
The room was very small for the price we paid with nowhere comfortable to sit and relax. Considering it was very rainy and we couldn't do many of the activities we had planned, it would have been good to be comfortable in the room. The mattresses and pillows were also very uncomfortable.
