The Cappuccino suite was spacious and private. The bed was large and very firm and the daybed was a welcome second space to relax. The aircon was a blessing.
The rooftop was a great place for breakfast and lunch or simply for a relaxing birds-eye view of Stonetown. The coffee is excellent.
The concrete stairs to the bathroom looked great but were slightly raked so you had to be careful not to slip, especially if your feet were still wet. There are rails to grab but it’s not for people with mobility issues.

It felt like an authentic Stone Town experience. The staff, particularly Philomena and Miriam were so friendly and helpful. The views from the rooftop were great!
It took time to get used to having the bathroom down the hall but it was very clean and private.

I loved everything about the Zanzibar Coffee House. The building itself is so beautiful! My room was spacious and comfortable. My private bathroom was just down the hall and it was fantastic...wish I could replicate it at my house.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, excellent service. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious.
By far the best coffee I had during my 5 weeks in Africa. The location is very central so there's plenty to see and do within walking distance. I highly recommend staying at the Zanzibar Coffee House! I do hope to return.
