Situated in Oakland, this lovely house for $415 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This property is being rented to scrapbookers, card makers, knitters, quilters...etc. If a crafty weekend is NOT what you seek, please find another property. The perfect setting for small groups to get together and scrapbook, craft, knit or quilt. Choo Choo Rooster Retreat is located in beautiful Western Maryland and is available for weekend rentals from April through October. Your weekend can be from Thursday thru Sunday, or Friday thru Monday---whichever works best for your group. NOTE: please DO NOT invite additional crafters to join you during the day. The house is designed to accommodate NO MORE than 10 people. This lovely, spacious Oakland, Maryland home comfortably sleeps 10 people. There are four bedrooms and three full baths. It offers a well-appointed kitchen, dining room and a huge, brightly lit craft area. There are multiple cozy seating areas including two big porches at your disposal when you need a break from creating.

We love staying at Choo-Choo. We had a small issue with the hot water, but the owners were right on top of the situation, and we had it solved in a matter of minutes!!! Great experience and can't wait to return.

Our scrapping group had a fantastic time at the Choo Choo Rooster! We scrapped, played games, hiked, shopped and enjoyed the sunroom. All the bedrooms are spacious. The house is set up perfectly for everyone to spread out. The scrap room with the kitchen was wonderful! The Keurig and area for snacks worked out great. We will definitely be returning!! Thanks!!

This stay was our second one at the Choo Choo retreat and we were again very pleased with our time there. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our group even with social distancing protocols in place. The owner knows what we girls need and makes everyone feel welcome! We " ALL " love this place!! Shhh . . . don't tell anybody. Don't want to spread the word then everybody will want to come. If you are looking for the perfect place to have a girls weekend, no matter the craft, Choo Choo House is the place to be. A couple of home improvement suggestions, which I made last year, two of the bedrooms could be improved by having a lamp by the beds. The only lighting you have in them are the ceiling lights. The downstairs bathroom door could use a handle of some sort. It is a pocket door, but you can purchase flat handles that slide on. We had one of the girls get stuck in the bathroom because the door would not slide open. It made for some laughs. Also, it would be nice if there was outside lighting at the driveway for the craft entrance for those arriving in the dark. Other than that, love it, love it. Ooops . . just remembered another big suggestion. It desperately needs a BIGGER TABLE to accommodate 10 guests!!! Jeanette is a Queen. She promptly responds to all of our problems and needs. Love her!!
