Located in the Maloti Drakensberg Transfrontier Conservation Area, Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge overlooks the Drakensberg's Sentinel Peak and Amphitheater. At 7500 feet above sea level, this lodge is the highest in the Northern Drakensberg.

I liked the quietness of the lodge and the staff were very attentive.
Unfortunately and this was not the resorts fault nor the staffs but the unexpected rain and mist which made trekking difficult and dangerous.

Amazing and clean. Amazing lunches for the hike.
There’s only 3 sentinel rooms with the surround view. The rest only have 1 long window. So in the end it would have been better to pay for the cheaper rooms on the mountain side.

The location and scenery
The schedule hours for the shuttle. I went on the tugela falls hike and the hikers get down around 10/10:30. However the only return shuttle is from 12:30.
This results in late checkout of friends/family are waiting at the lodge.
It also makes our return journey home much later.
Really spoils the experience.
Shuttle times should start earlier for the return journey.

Pure definition of beauty! Great location and I loved the mountains. The staff were friendly too. Kea leboha
The room was not clean and probably needs fumigation as I saw roaches. Hope this will improve as I would really love to come back.
