Calm place close to the city centre

Easily reachable by public transport, quiet area, friendly host, spacious rooms... The apartment has everything for a self-sufficient stay - we had a very pleasant time in Berne

Amazing Place to Stay

This was a wonderful stay for us. I can't imagine finding a better place. The host is a lovely person who answered all our questions in a timely manner. With her help we were able to download an app for free use of the city mass transportation. She welcomed us personally after our arrival and provided us with valuable information during our stay. One of the best aspects of the accommodation was the fact that it offered parking. I was nervous about driving in Switzerland, so it was nice to leave the car and use the bus or tram. (The Chalet in Bern is just minutes from several tram and bus stops. ) We had essentially the entire first floor of a beautiful, one-hundred year old wooden home. The rooms were extremely comfortable, spacious, and quiet. The kitchen could not have been better. It had literally EVERYTHING we needed. We travel a lot. I like to cook in, but we usually find something missing when I try to prepare meals, whether it be a frying pan or a colander. This was not the case here! The host had everything we needed on hand, and everything was in excellent condition. The kitchen was spacious too; it was very easy to maneuver and had a breakfast table in addition to a larger dinner table in the living/dining room. We plan to return to Bern and hope to stay here once again.

There is nothing negative that I can write about our stay at the Chalet in Bern. We had an incredible experience here.

Easy public transport to city center 10 minutes by bus or 20 minutes by tram and free ticket included. Shopping nearby. Beautiful garden. Bern is safe to ride bicycle, so bring your own or rent. Free car parking on premises.

This chalet was in an excellent location just metres from the bus stop and not far from a Coop and petrol station which was open for food everyday. Gitte the host was very helpful and a delight to talk to. Good off street free parking and a great garden setting. A very spacious apartment and a great place to stay in Bern.
