Cleanliness
Location was further away from the main areas but this ended up as a bonus, as more quiet and pretty. Just along road from Rembrandtplein
Stairs are quite steep but this is mentioned on booking.com

The location couldn’t have been much better than what it was
The water would sometimes not work in the shower and their wasn’t any air conditioning but there were fans

location was decent and there was adequate sleeping space for our group size.
hotel was fairly run down- halls and rooms badly need new flooring and paint. One of the bunks was positioned in the room close to walls on either side making it hard to get in and out without hitting your head. The limited reception hours are a big problem. We had no towels in our room on check in around 4pm and with reception closed until the next morning after we would have left to see the city for the day, we spent a very long time trying to get in touch with hotel staff to get towels to shower.
