Set on the outskirts of the town of Keighley with views over fields to the moors beyond, this Victorian, double-fronted house has been lovingly restored and provides light, spacious accommodation with attention to detail in all aspects for guests comfort. In the living room there is a lovely cushion-lined window seat with views over the fields, an ideal spot to sit, read and while away the hours. The spacious basement provides ideal space for storing bicycles and walking gear. Glenfield is just 4 miles from the pretty cobbled high street of Haworth, with the Worth Valley Steam trains running from Keighley to Howarth. Here you can visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum, walk on Top Withens, which must be Wuthering Heights, or browse through the shops, tea rooms, restaurants or pubs. The National Trust property Riddlesden Hall is a short drive away. The beauty spot of Bolton Abbey, with the meandering Rivier Wharfe, and the upmarket towns of Ilkley and Harrogate, with both high street and high end shopping, are within easy driving distance, and afternoon tea at Betty’s in Ilkley is a must. For keen walkers and cyclists, this is Tour De France country, Tour De Yorkshire and the moors above Haworth and the Yorkshire Dales are easily accessed. For a completely alternative day out, visit the historic city of York, which is about 1¼ hours drive. Bingley St Ives golf course is 1½ miles away. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 1 mile. Beautifully restored cottage every creature comfort you could wish for. Only one negative is there is no downstairs toilet and staircase to first floor is a little steeper than average so perhaps not suitable for those who find stairs difficult. We had a great week out and about exploring the beautiful countryside around.

Despite inclement weather for the week that we stayed at Glenfield , we really enjoyed our stay at Glenfield. Glenfield was brilliant to stay at, 'a home from home', every comfort had been thought of. The cottage was also very clean and tidy. On arrival we were welcomed by Roy and Linda, they were brilliant hosts, welcoming but unobtrusive. We also received on arrival a very nice welcome package of luxury and useful items. The cottage is at a good location for going out and exploring Yorkshire.

What a beautiful property Glenfield is ! Absolutely stunning quality of fixtures and fittings and gorgeous soft furnishings too. The property was immaculately clean and our lovely hosts left us an excellent quality basket of ‘goodies’. This is without doubt one of the best properties I have ever stayed in and it was outstanding value for money. I strongly recommend it to anyone wishing to have a base close to the southern dales. Thank you to Linda and Roy for a wonderful holiday.
