It had the old fashion onsen feel with the staff who were very attentive to our needs.
The hotel has 3 main buildings with connection corridors on multiple floors which made it a bit confusing but it was fun challenge to find different onsen and dinning halls.

Large and tired looking hotel in an hilltop position, so commands excellent views. Helpful staff, hotel and room was spotless and spacious. The onsen was lovely with excellent views of the castle. No meals available in the hotel but we ate really well in town. Parked directly outside the hotel. Very reasonably priced.
Lack of food.
