This charming two story log cabin is on 1.3 acres of wooded property nestled in an aspen grove near the quaint little mountain town of Allenspark, about 17 miles from downtown Estes Park. This was our annual ladies trip to Colorado. We try to stay in different cabins every year. This cabin is beautiful and remote. Pictures are exactly what you will find. Kitchen was excellent. I am a cook and found it to be stocked with everything needed to make meals. We used the crockpot for a roast. We were able to spread out throughout the cabin. It has plenty of room. Fed the birds off the deck. Did not start a fire in the fireplace but there are supplies to do so. Internet was strong enough for all of us to connect and use WiFi. One of our friends had to take a work meeting and could accomplish her tasks. Overall, we loved staying here. The negatives: the road to reach this cabin is terrible. It’s not maintained very well. It has eroded, washed out, full of holes and ruts. We rented a minivan and the ruts are so deep we bottomed out. Day before we were due to drive down the mountain to DIA it snowed 13 inches. Luckily we saw the weather forecast and exchanged the van for a full size 4x4 truck or we may not have made it out. Finally, the property contact did not respond to my questions. I reached out more than once. No reply.

While checking in was easy, finding the the cabin was difficult. Even with the driving instructions, we got lost multiple times since some of the roads aren’t marked well or have the same names. We even had a hard time driving up the driveway in our car from it being so step and having rain erosion. Once we finally got inside we noticed in two of the rooms there were dead bugs all over the floor and an ant problem in the other. Not to mention in the master we opened the curtains just to find about 50+ flies just hanging out on the curtains and on the window. It was impossible to sleep in the room (we also had our baby with us). Colorado was beautiful however I would never stay here again.

The cabin is adorable!! But.. the road to get to it was very washed out and we had trouble with one car getting to it. We had no phone service, but there is WiFi so through IPhone and Messenger we were able to stay in touch with most of our families. We saw bears the first day and there were deer that came close almost every evening. Lots of birds to watch.

My family had a great time. The snow was a blast. Plenty of room for everyone. We had some trouble finding the place in the dark however. Print out directions before you leave. GPS will not help you find the cabin.

We enjoyed our stay at Jessie’s Aspen Mountain cabin! There was snow all around the cabin and it was secluded to maintain privacy but just a short drive to Estes. Our 4 year old daughter loved finding books, toys, and dress up clothes in the cabin! We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace every evening and walks in the snow around the cabin. The master bathroom was beautiful! Bedding and beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything you need in a beautiful setting that felt like home the minute you walk through the door.
My only suggestion (personal preference) is to remove some inside decorations like hanging baskets and artificial plants. Not really needed when you have beautiful views out every window.

The house was equipped with everything and more. Inside the house items and locations were labeled nicely. We had a fairly large group and found that the house set up allowed for a lot of privacy and having 3 bathrooms was an additional perk. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to make a large breakfast. Great place, 10/10 would recommend

Wifi works great at the cabin. It was a perfect fit for the 7 of us, we were in the area for a family wedding. It was nice to have a kitchen so we didn't have to rush out to eat everywhere. It even snowed lightly on our last day which was nice for all of who are from California.

The cabin pictures do portray the cabin nicely though getting to the cabin was not what we expected. Getting off the main road it is about 2 miles on on a dirt/gravel road so be prepared for this. The cabin does not have air conditioning and when we got there all the windows were closed and it was extremely warm inside. It did cool down at night and the rooms were comfortable except for the upper room where there was a full or queen with twin beds in front of it. This room has more trouble cooling off since there is not a good way to ventilate this area. The days we stayed were an extremely warm time where even in the mountains it was in the 90’s so this would probably not be a problem normally. Jesse was easily reached with a few concerns that came up. The home is nicely decorated and it has a beautiful porch off the back where we ate a few breakfasts. It is about 10 minutes from wild basin lodge where our son had his wedding reception but it is 10 mins further from Estes park so about 25 mins away. After a what was a surprise arrival on not being what expected we did enjoy our 3 days though in the future would probably have chosen a place closer to Estes park if we had known the area.

En primera reserve otra cabaña la cual me canceló una hora antes de llegar, sin embargo vrb me reubicó en un hotel mientras se conseguía una cabaña disponible, aunque cuando me dijeron de esta dude un poco, fue la mejor decisión que tome pues la cabaña es hermosa practica para 10 personas y cumplía con todas mis expectativas se encuentra en las montañas de Allen’s park y cuenta con una vista espectacular, nuestra satisfacción fue tan grande que cancelamos actividades para disfrutar de la vista del lugar y nos hijos disfrutaron mucho de la nieve y la estancia ahí, a muy poco distancia encontramos una pizzería deliciosa y conveniente para seguir disfrutando del lugar, además Jesei se porto muy generosa con nosotros y respondió todas nuestras necesidades, viajamos 30 horas desde Miami para disfrutar de la nieve y la comodidad de una cabaña y todo lo conseguimos en esta!!! 100% recomendada ya la tengo en mi lista de vacaciones para volver

Great Christmas cabin
We had an amazing time in this cabin.
It was semi isolated so the family got to experience the snow in peace and we did a lot of exploring the area by foot.
The cabin was homey and had a warm vibe. We had a great Christmas there.

Not our best moment. :) If it is dark turn right at the Llama crossing and a left at the y. :) The spring near by was neat, it was a quite area, the hummingbirds enjoyed the feeder(take in at night) the chipmunks were entertaining. The master bathroom was very nice, it was a about a a 20 min to Estes.

Peaceful and relaxing
The cabin itself was warm and inviting. It accommodates a large group well with plenty of beds and large outdoor porch if things get "close" inside. They set up a volleyball court down the hill and provided balls and other play equipment which the kids loved. If you are into mountain hiking, this is a great location.

Perfect for our family
We are an extended family of 8 - four adults, four children - staying over a weekend. This lovely cabin is in a beautiful location, secluded enough off the main road with easy access in and out. Well furnished kitchen, outside deck with tables and chairs, comfortable couches and chairs inside. Stocked with lots of books and movies, a bad mitten court outside, and delightfully decorated throughout. Jessie made herself available for any questions we had. This place was perfect for us and is well suited for any large family.

Amazing getaway in the mountains
Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Jessie’s Cabin. A very nice, secluded property up in the mountains. It was perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and using as a launch point for numerous hikes and explorations. The cabin had everything you could ask for. I hope to be back again soon!

offensive odor
There are two stairways up to the second floor sleeping areas. Both of theses a very steep and narrow and more like a ladder then a stair case. It is very difficult for older people to get up and down them. There was a very offensive odor in the house that remained during our entire stay.
