I spent a week at thisbeautiful house and fell in love with the house and location. So secluded, quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be going back.

Overall the property was quite nice. Very spacious and roomy. Nice being by the river. Weather prevented us from sitting by the river as much as we would have liked, but we enjoyed it when we could. Nice location. Lots of games/pool table etc, if you want to take advantage of those activities.

The pool table was a big hit with my family. Many hours were spent playing pool.

Enjoyed the Rocky Mountains National Park while we were there. Spent a couple of days shopping/eating in Estes Park.

Place was amazing. Did some fly fishing on the creek that runs through the property. Sat outside on the large back deck and watched the turkey vultures circle overhead. The sound of the creek at night with the windows open was amazing. Played pool, darts and horseshoes. Close trips to Boulder and Estes. House had all the things we needed for a college reunion. Could not have been more satisfied.

We had such a great time at Lucky U that it was hard for us to leave on check out day! It was the perfect location for us to have a White Christmas. The kids had a great time sledding and building snow people in the yard. The house was the perfect size and very well equipped with everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back during a different time of year and enjoy the house and grounds again!

My family stayed here due to my niece getting married in Lyons. We had an after the wedding get together at this house the day after and everyone was awed by the views and peacefulness of this property. I took so many pictures and plan to paint some of them. The only set back to the property is that you have to time showers and only 1 load of laundry a day - we are assuming this was due to septic tank. Otherwise the property was WONDERFUL

We totally enjoyed our stay. The house is big with plenty of space. It is nicely furnished also. We had a blast playing pool in the evening. And the surrounding of mountains and river provides complete privacy.

This house was perfect for a family vacation with our 3 adult children. Huge spaces for family dinners, hanging out and games but also plenty of spaces for everyone to get a break from the group. The kitchen and house overall were well equipped. We made good use of the pool table and dart board too. The property the house sits on is so nice and the chairs by the creek were a family favorite. We had a young moose come right up to the deck our first morning and hang around in the pasture for hours. Grocery shop before you get there because the closest grocery is a 30-35 minute drive to Estes. My only complaint is that house could use a good deep clean, I had to wipe down counters, toilet-seats, etc. but found the products there to tidy up before we settled in. Overall a fantastic stay and we’d book this property again.

We loved the house, it was just as pictured. Fully stocked with everything needed for cooking. About halfway between Lyons and estes park. We loved the access to both. We even enjoyed the available games and sitting by the stream in the chairs that were provided.

The setting was wonderful. Secluded, yet close enough to places like Estes Park, Nederland, Lyons and many hiking trails. We enjoyed sitting by the river and relaxing. Having the windows open at night and falling to sleep to the sound of the river was great too. Kelly was easy to get ahold of when needed. The house fit our needs and the game room helped on some of the rainy days. There were a few issues with the cleaning and we were short some towels but Kelly was easy to work with on those. I would definitely recommend this place to people. Will also watch for the opening of their next cabins.

This was a great place to stay. There were a lot of things to do for the entire family. We loved sitting by the river which was very close to the house. We played volleyball and pool. It was the perfect secluded home with plenty of room for everyone.

This is a GREAT property. The home and property feel very private. Saint Vrain Creek running through the front yard has to be the highlight. I spent time everyday trout fishing and caught several brown trout just 50 ft from the front door. Our grandkids had a great time exploring the property and spending time at the creek.
The location is outstanding!!! Away enough to feel private, but only 15minutes from the Wild Basin entrance and a 30 minute drive from Estes Park.
The house was exceptionally clean and very well stocked with everything needed for our family group of 8 for an entire week. We had one rainy day and really enjoyed the gameroom with pool table. The check-in/check-out procedures were simple, and the host promptly replied to all questions. I find it hard to believe anyone would give this property less than 5 stars. This is our 4th stay in the Estes Park area and this was by far our favorite property.

Owners have thought of everything. Gamez for adults and children plenty of blankets, pillows and anything you may need. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The listing of local amenities was very helpful. The property is just gorgeous. Absolutely the experience we were wanting.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and private property. We loved starting our mornings down by the creek and enjoyed the happy sound of the water rushing over the rocks whenever we were home. The location was particularly great for hiking at Wild Basin and in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. The house was lovely and comfortable. We love to cook and found the kitchen well stocked with all the cooking items we wanted. Our dog loved hopping in and out of the creek and exploring the property. Thank you!!!

Two level home with a huge open lay out and lots of space. We loved the game room in the garage with pool, darts, and corn hole, and all the board games provided as well as the volleyball net and horseshoe pits. Also enjoyed spending time on the swinging chair near the river and on the large back patio. Would highly recommend this family friendly home! Comfy stay in the mountains with all you could need and more!

The property is amazing. It was close to Boulder, Estes Park, RMNP. The house is well stocked with kitchen supplies. The game room is super fun and can provide hours of entertainment. The kids were sad there was only one TV but the adults enjoyed that! We had four adults and 5 kids and we had plenty of room.
The only downfall was the cleanliness of the house. The house needs a good deep clean. The house wasn't clean when we arrived. However when I mentioned it to the owner, she was quick to respond and apologized and refunded our cleaning fee. Her responsiveness was greatly appreciated but especially during COVID, it was concerning to not have the house cleaned.

We had the best time on our stay at this beautiful property!!! The home is sensational and truly designed to help unplug from the outside world and make memories with family. We enjoyed family meals in the open kitchen, scenic walks around the property, game nights, and cozying up on the porch with hot cocoa on those cool nights! Our host was wonderful about communication and helping make our stay stress free. We truly can't wait to return to this amazing home again! Our family agreed that we'll definitely make plans to return soon!

The Lucky U house is all that is described and more! My family and I truly needed a relaxing fun vacation and that was what we found here. The house itself is amazing! It is very comfortable and easy to have the whole family together in the kitchen and living room and the game room downstairs provided my family hours of laughs and fun! The setting of the house is remarkable. Needless to say my family and I cannot wait to go back and stay here again! Thank you for creating this amazing place! It was exactly what my family needed!

What a beautiful piece of property this is! Had rain and drizzle the first few days, but it did not bother my crew at all. The gathering place was the kitchen/dining/living/game room area. Perfect to hold us all! Once the weather cleared, the garage door was opened for the game room, and the competitions began. It was unanimous by all that they would go back to this property again. I can still hear the river days later! Thanks to Kelly and her family!

Almost everything was excellent with this rental. Plenty of space, tons of pillows and blankets, loaded kitchen, games and pool table and location right next to the river were beyond expectations. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the house. The drains (kitchen and bathrooms) and the laundry room had quite a bad smell- possibly from sitting for awhile, and the home could use a deep cleaning from top to bottom. This didn't bother my family (I am pickier) and we had a fabulous time regardless.

Our stay at the Lucky U was just what the doctor ordered. It offers everything one could ask for, spacious interiors with views, comfortable seating on the deck and enough Adirondack chairs creek side for all to enjoy. The continuous babbling of the creek relaxed all of us and could be heard throughout the house with the windows open. In addition, some of us enjoyed wetting a fly trout fishing all within 50 foot of the house. What more could one ask for?The tipi was a favorite of the grandkids as was the game room for the adults.Lastly, the Lucky U gave us all a memory we will never forget...a moose! That’s right a bull moose! It strolled through the yard between the house and the creek for all to see. Truly a piece of heaven.

An amazing getaway in the mountains. We enjoyed having a running stream right by this fabulous home packed with entertainment and relaxing views all in one. Each room offered a different and welcoming environment filled with cozy blankets and comfortable beds. We just finished an amazing stay at the Lucky U home! Kelly was incredibly helpful and accommodating ahead of and during our stay. The house is a magical spot and our family didn't want to leave. It's amazing to feel so remote, with the sounds of the creek and complete lack of neighbors, yet it's incredibly accessible from Denver. Despite the CO wildfires we still had some great star views from the deck at night. The kiddos loved splashing in the creek, exploring the grounds, and playing in the outdoor tipi. We had plenty of different spaces to relax and were glad to find all of the beds were quite comfy. Perfect layout for 5 adults and two kids. Great location with easy access to local hiking and biking, and short trips to RMNP and Brainard Lake. We were so busy we didn't even have time to take advantage of the pool table, dart board, badminton, horseshoe pits, or big selection of board games. This property is fantastic, and we hope to return again soon!

An amazing place - lots of room for my family of 10 (including babies) to spread out when they wanted to, and gather at mealtimes and for family game night. Beautiful place and yard for short hikes and sledding. I would absolutely stay there again - the owner was very nice and kept in communication when there was an issue with lots of snow in the driveway. Loved the property. We had 6 adults and 1 infant in our group so the downstairs space worked perfect for privacy for all. Everyone said their beds were comfortable, which has been a problem with other places. Absolutely loved having the stream running through the yard, it is so peaceful! Wonderful place for our family vacation!

This is a great house in a perfect setting. Roomy, comfortable, beautiful and perfect for a group. Take note! There is wildlife here so be aware (last Friday morning, there was a mountain lion on the porch who considered walking in our open patio door, a bear tried to get in the trash two nights before that. But. That's exactly why we loved it. It's a bit remote, but not too much, and it's lovely and quiet, except for the lovely sounds of the river. Keep your cars gassed up - you're not within a mile or two of fuel, food, etc. My daughter came very close to running out of gas on her way to Lyons. Plan accordingly since you will be driving to most if not all activities. Also, be organized and make sure you have your groceries when you get there. You really don't know what the house will have on stock. The Lyons market is absolutely nice but very small. No matter what, it's fairly inconvenient to go to the grocery store for a gallon of milk. Great news, you can be more than happy to go nowhere when you're at this house. Sit by the beautiful river in the chairs or hammock, sit on the deck with it's comfy couches, look at the mountain, look out the windows, read and relax. You'd be plenty lucky to do nothing here but breathe in the air and take in the beauty. The house is close to Boulder, (35mins?) where there are great restaurants, shopping, and sites; it's close to Lyons which is a pleasant but small town, and close to Estes Park which is wonderful but a typical old-school tourist town. Estes is still a not-to-be-missed for us, in spite of that tourist thing. Additional note: lots of construction on 7 highway, be aware, we had a couple of long waits. We recommend Meeker Park Stables (we've ridden there for years), boat/canoe/paddelboarding on Lake Estes, pies from Colorado Cherry Company, lunch or dinner at Chautauqua Dining Hall in Boulder, eating at Lyons Fork, dinner or drinks at Rock Inn in Estes, and of course it should go without saying, do not miss hiking or taking a picnic in magnificent Rocky Mountain National Park in all its glory. And I do mean glory. (The house is "close" to WildBasin entrance.)Let's just say, I wish I was there now, not at work, listening to the river and enjoying the soft afternoon rain and crisp air.

Our family of 12 (ages 19-81) loved the Lucky U Mountain home. The peaceful river running through the front yard was so relaxing. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. Close enough to Estes Park for all the activities, yet far enough away to relax. The highlight of our stay was seeing a bear one morning and two moose another morning all in the front yard! Kelly was great to work with!!
