About this house rental
Nestled in San Antonio, this attractive house for $126 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. A quiet neighborhood to call home whether coming to work or to play or maybe to visit family and friends. This comfortable home is convenient to much of what San Antonio has to offer. It is close to great shopping (La Cantera, The Rim and North Star), dining, Hardberger Park, Fiesta Texas, UTSA, the South Texas Medical Center, USAA and the airport. Downtown attractions such as the famous River Walk, Pearl Brewery, Hemisfair Park, the Alamo, and Majestic Theatre are an easy 20 minute drive away. This is a clean, NON SMOKING property perfect for a family to meet up for some San Antonio fun or a business trip where you want the feeling of home. This was our first home and has sentimental value to us. Early in 2017, we decided to turn it into a rustic style home for visitors coming to San Antonio. We have decorated the home with reclaimed rustic wood - mostly reclaimed heat treated pallets. It has truly been a labor of love and many months of work, as we did all of the work ourselves. From staining the floors, to tearing apart pallets, distressing the wood, to scrounging hard wood flooring that others were throwing away, we turned what some consider trash into treasure. We are still working on landscaping the yard - seems like that will never end - UGH! There is plenty of parking space with room for four cars in the driveway (which is partially shaded) as well as street parking, but the garage is not available for parking. There is a gas/charcoal grill in the back yard as well as a nice patio area with a table and chairs to sit and chat with family or friends surrounded by tiki torches in the evening. There is a 55" Roku TV on the wall in the loving area as well as high speed WiFi internet access. If you will be needing extra bedding, we do have a very comfortable queen air mattress and a twin "roll away" that can be used in the front living area; however, it has two entrances that do not allow for privacy. Please let us know in advance if you will be needing these. The entire home and yard are for your enjoyment. One side of the garage is available with advanced notice. Sean and/or Karen will be available to assist and we encourage our guests to get to know us. The home has two STEPS that lead into the kitchen, and TWO steps to back of the home where the bedrooms are located. If a guest has a handicap that makes stepping up 2 steps at a time, the only room that will be easily accessible (no steps) is the room on the front of the house that allows for no privacy. Very comfortable home in lovely neighborhood. Mattresses were very comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. We even baked 2 pies, roasted a few pieces of turkey and made gravy for a family dinner we attended. Loved the property just be aware of multiple levels throughout the house.

My wife and I spent over two weeks here visiting our son and new daughter in law. The owners were accommodating and responded quickly to all questions we had. The house is a comfortable setting with most everything you would need for daily living. We also had our two dogs with us. The back yard was perfect for them and the neighborhood was great for walking them. We look forward to renting this home for our future trips.

This place fit me perfectly. I felt comfortable in the neighborhood when walking and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the people there were. This was important to me because I stayed for 2 months. The fenced back yard was necessary for my dog to allow her off leash. It's close to groceries, dog parks, trails for walking, bus route and easy driving distance to the downtown River Walk and surrounding areas.

Home is in a nice family neighborhood. 20 - 30 minutes to most Tourist attractions. Hosts are very nice and accommodating. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Kitchen is well appointed for those who like to prepare their own meals. The backyard is fenced in and was a good place to exercise our pups.

This is a great house and the neighborhood was really quiet. The owners were really responsive on communications. The only thing I'd warn potential travelers about is that the house is built onto hill. So, while it's technically a one story house, there are two steps up to the bedroom side of the house, two steps down to the kitchen, and the living room is sunken by about 3 inches. It wasn't an issue for us, but might be if anyone has trouble with a couple of steps or walks around in the dark without really knowing where the steps are. That being said, we'd definitely stay there again.

The house was very clean and very spacious to accommodate all 6 of us (5 adults and 1 child). My two kids slept in one room together, so the bunk beds with the extra bed were perfect for them!

Originally we had a trip planned with my parents but ended up just being my husband and I with our 4 kids. This house was perfect! My husband and I are native Houstonians and avid outdoors people so the decor fit our style. The house is perfectly located to do anything you want in San Antonio. We also visited Gruene and Austin as well! The kids loved sleeping on the bunk beds and were so happy we could bring our family dogs with us. The neighborhood was so cute and very quiet! It was the best birthday vacation I’ve had!

Comfortable and convenient
We stayed for several weeks while visiting family. Everything was great. There are quite a few places inside that have one or two steps up & down which took a little getting used to. Hosts are doing a nice job with the Texas themed remodel.

The accommodations was a perfect fit for our family of grandparents, parents, kids and 2 dogs. It was beautifully decorated, clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The yard was serene with all the trees, squirrels and cardinals. Thank you for providing this beautiful experience.

Rustric Retreat Rave
We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to San Antonio, partly because our home-away-from-home was so wonderful! First, it was exactly as pictured/described so there were no surprises. The fenced yard was a big plus, as we brought our schnauzer mix with us. The neighborhood was lovely, and we enjoyed walking in the area, as well as all the nearby parks. Sean and Karen welcomed us with homemade mustang grape jelly, pound cake, and area wine (yum!), and couldn't have been nicer. A small issue with the tv sound was quickly resolved when Sean came over within minutes and not only fixed it, but brought speakers in case there were further issues. We had 2 sets of friends stop in for brief overnight visits, and the house's extra bedrooms and bath worked perfectly, as well as the comfortable living area. Would definitely recommend to individuals and families, as this house has everything you could want!

The house is just as good or better than the description on VRBO! Sean and Kate were very welcoming and answered quickly to our questions. We found the house clean and with all the necessary things and leisure equipment for a very comfortable stay. The place is relatively close to the airport, and downtown San Antonio. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby. House is located in a quiet neighborhood.

Very comfortable stay
We had a very nice stay in San Antonio last week. We were in town visiting family and for our granddaughter's first birthday. The house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and close to everything. Host Sean and Karen were great. Everything was clear and smooth when checking in and for the duration of our stay. Overall we had a great time and thanks again to Sean and Karen for being such excellent hosts.
