About this resort
City view – West side - no balcony, 1 master en-suite bedroom, and 1 bedroom. Address: 4040 Galt Ocean Drive – 8th floor. The Ocean Manor is a beautiful resort on Galt Ocean Mile, the best location in Fort Lauderdale. The large en-suite bedroom contains 1 king-size bed, a 50' flat screen with Roku Smart TV, a dresser with 3 drawers, and a walk-in closet. The other bedroom has 1 King Size bed, a 38' flat-screen TV with Roku Smart TV, a dresser, and a closet. The bathroom is completely tiled with a double sink and walk-in shower. The living room has a sofa, side table, 50' flat screen with Roku Smart TV, DVD player, dining table with 4 chairs and a computer desk with chair. There is also a counter-eat place. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, glass top stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, utensils, glasses, dishes, and cutlery is supplied. Tiled floors throughout the apartment. We provide: * Bed linens, and 1 towel kit per person. * Iron and ironing board. * Hairdryer. *Free WiFi (no password) in the whole building and into the apartment. * Non-smoking Condo. * Laundry Room in the Basement (not included in the rental rate). * Valet Parking no matter how many times you get in and get out (not included in the rental rate). * There is no other parking available in the neighborhood. *Only 21 years old person allowed. *Buses and trolleys are available on the street. The resort has a large heated pool and private access to the beach, it's also right on the ocean. Tiki Bar in the pool area, a restaurant in the lobby area, a Beauty salon, a Coffee shop, 24h front desk, and a convenience store. The condo is within walking distance to shopping, and groceries and you can enjoy the nightlife and local bars. It's close to Commercial Boulevard, Oakland Park, and the Pier in Lauderdale by the Sea, which is a great place for nightlife with local bars. On the beach, there are several water sports activities including Jet Ski rentals. Across the street, there is an open shopping Plaza that offers - CVS, Walgreens, McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts, Winn Dixie, Deli's, Restaurants, clothes shops, and hair and nail shops. Check-in 4:00 pm and the check out 10:00 am.*

The condo was very clean

Great location,beach,property amenities,beds.
No hot tub as advertised. The one set of bath linens for each was smelly and musky. When I requested more, owner said they were washed properly but they were not. We had to purchase linens. Kitchen had only one dish towel and no
pot holders. Dish washing powder was in a clump like a rock . Only one love seat fit to sit on. The other 3 red sofas were hard and not able to use.
Only provided 3 rolls toilet tissue, not adequate
Water view was across parking lot and minuscule at best.
Would return to property but not this condo owner said she was a world traveler and condo reflected this. We too are world travels and even in Europe never encounter anything so
disappointing .

Condo was clean, location is perfect. Tiki bar on premises, multiple restaurants & shops. Short walk to CVS, Winn-Dixie, etc. Right on the beach. Would stay again!

I love staying at the Ocean Manor. Everything you need is either on site or close by. We ate at the tiki bar most days. Beautiful ocean views.

Place was clean but lacking towels for 9 nights and proper a/c for guest bedroom very hot and fan in closet broke and our friends had to sleep in living room!

Everything was accurate in the description and the property was clean. My expectations were different do to my lack of reading the entire description of the property. Location was also good.

Property was good but we werent aware it was an adjoining room- door wouldn’t lock. We were charged for “ extra cleaning” which was unnecessary. Friends that stayed in another until had the same message? Communication prior to stay & following was rude & unpleasant- would nor recommend property managers

Only having the one bathroom off the master was alittle awkward. But new this going into it. Apartment was pretty clean, building itself was older. But was very pleasant place to stay. Everything was in walking distance for us. The Tiki bar was really nice, as well as tge beach being right there. Over all, i would come back. Thx!

We wanted a place to spend time as a family; this time on a Fort Lauderdale beach. We also wanted a lot of restaurant choices. Fort Lauderdale, Ocean Manor and this room didn’t disappoint. It delivered what we wanted. The listing was accurate and complete. The place was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable.
You will need to walk over to Winn-Dixie to get some things if they run out like extra toilet paper and paper towels and extra trash bags, but all of that was mentioned in the listing, so we expected it and planned accordingly.
We like to go to new places for vacation, so we probably won’t be back, but if we did, I’d stay here again.
My only things to note are the room temperature isn’t user controllable. Finally, the towels are thin, but it’s Florida and they did pick up a smell by the end of the week, so consider bringing your own bath towels for your stay, but make sure they will dry completely.
The listing was accurately described. The host was easy to deal with and communicated clearly. I think it was worth the money and we are satisfied.

The rooms were nice, bed was comfortable in the master bedroom. Not sure about the other. This unit overlooks the city and has a nice sun porch in it. Only draw back was the windows don’t open so it is really just another room with windows. Only 1 towel provided as stated in description, just not enough for a few days.

Overall, the stay was fine. The place itself is a little run down, felt outdated and kind of dirty. The bad part was the ants that swarmed our doughnuts that were on the counter for about 8 hours. I reported it but didn't hear back from the property manager. The Tiki bar was great though.

Great location
Great location on the beach. Nice pool area. Italian restaurant, outdoor bar/restaurant, and small coffee shop on the property were all good. The room was similar to the online pictures, not as large as expected, but there was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults. The only real negative was having to walk through a bedroom to get to the only bathroom. Additionally, it would have been nice to have a better, newer selection of bath towels. The towels we had were old and like rags. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and would choose to stay here again.

Lovely time and great location!
We had a great time here! It was amazing being right on the beach and some of our favorite features were the coffee shop, pool and restaurant/tiki bar right on the property!

Great location and very clean.. Property only gives 1 towel per person, and the one they give you in tiny.. Really should offer more. The internet only works half of the time and the TV's do not come with instructions, couldnt get either of them to work at all. Property manager responsive but should be able to pick up phone and talk.

Family Beach Time
This was wonderful. A great location for relaxing on the beach or going to local restaurants. If you preferred to enjoy the atmosphere, the Tiki Bar was on property. It was overall a perfect spot for our family.

The location of this property is excellent! The pool is beautiful and has a private beach. Even though it is a non-smoking building, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming at times.

Girls trip for our moms retirement
The property needs a lot of updating, the elevator smelled, the 8th floor smelled like a nursing home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tiki bar was cute. The lobby looks very nice, so if you could get the rest of it to look like the lobby, you would be golden. As of now I would not recommend Ocean Manor.

The owner is not responsive. Did not return security deposit in full.
We had a few issues while staying in that apartment.
1. The thermostat can only be regulated remotely and only by the host plus the windows could not be opened so the first night we were freezing. The host adjusted the thermostat the next day after we contacted her.
2. Usually, we do not have problems when asking a host for extra towels. Initially, the host stated in welcome E-mail that she would provide towels. Then 10 days before we checked in and too late to cancel the reservation, she stated that she would provide only a single set of towels per person for 13 days of stay. When we asked for an extra towel, she refused to provide one.
3. The bath does not have any rugs and is slippery when wet. I fell in the bathroom. When I asked her to provide a mop, at least, to wipe the floor she refused.
4. We, two old ladies, shared a bed. When I asked for an extra blanket, she refused to provide one.
5. I asked for a few additional small items (like sponges for dishes). She refused to provide any of them.
6. The owner did not return the security deposit in full withholding (amount removed per HomeAway request) for allegedly missing mug and water glass. She ignored my request to provide any proof for the missing glass. Contacted HomeAway to get back my refund in full. The case is pending.
7. I rented multiple apartments in this building before. It is a remodeled single bedroom apartment. The actual two-bedroom apartments are different.

Perfect location.
Easy access to the beach, good food in the tiki area outside. Full service bar. Everything is right there. Valet service is excellent.
Mattresses in our bedroom were great. I had an issue with the DVD player. I contacted the owner and a couple of hours later, I received a replacement. The following day the coffee maker went out. I again got hold of the owner and received a replacement. Quick answers to any questions you may have. I highly recommend this resort and this is a very nice, clean condo. Safe area to walk to Dunkin' Donuts, Winn Dixie, CVS pharmacy and of course
Mc Donald's. We had a great time.
