We've turned the mountains into a yearly family geteway and this year im so glad we chose Sashas Cabin! The owners were amazing from the start check in was so smooth. The owners text and called me with plenty of useful information regarding local stores and activities. The views were beyond believable. We also brought our puppy he is 1 and house trained he had the most fun he's ever had! The creek and path behind the house were a nice addition to explore. We will definitely be coming back!

This cabin and it’s setting were absolutely perfect! The woods are all around, but cleared enough to enjoy a gorgeous view of the mountains!! We had everything we needed and the owners were very kind and hospitable!

This cabin is stunning. So much room! The views from the front porch were incredible. The sunroom was way cool, table for games or family meals, great place to to play checkers, do puzzles, relax and read a book. The front porch view….WOW! The front yard has a fire pit that we used every night. We grilled out using the gas grill on the back porch every meal. The front yard is lovely and our chihuahua thoroughly enjoyed basking on the warm wood planks. Best part was the communication with the owner. He checked on us, called me with tips for outings, helped me locate a light switch, and overall was a genuinely wonderful host, best Ive ever had at a VRBO. We will definitely use this cabin again, and next time we will bring the whole clan!

Relaxing Cabin with amazing views
This is our (my BF and I) second stay at this wonderful cabin. It was great the first time and even better the second time. The new owners added some upgrades such as railings around the cabin and on the backyard bridge. Upgraded the decor, bedding, and kitchen supplies. This place is awesome. When we decided to go back to Maggie Valley, we searched many different cabins but nothing compared to this one. It has that cabin feel but with some modern touches. This time, I brought my son, my sister and her two kids. The kids loved being all together in the upstairs bedroom. Plenty of room for everyone. After a long day for visiting trails, it was nice to start a fire and hangout in the living room. The backyard is an adventure of its own. With a walking path, bridge, a stream and even a little waterfall. So much fun. The views around this cabin are amazing. It’s nice to sit on the porch every morning with a nice cup of coffee and enjoy the view. Greg, the owner was super helpful and thoughtful. He sent us a text before arriving wishing us a well stay, gave tips on places to go, etc. I was able to chat with him one day and he was super nice and friendly. We appreciated his hospitality. We look forward to staying in this cabin the next time we are in Maggie Valley and hopefully for a longer stay, we didn’t want to leave.

Great family time
Got to bring the whole family together and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Great Smokey Mountains! The house was so comfortable and set up perfectly for our family gathering. We had great meals and fun games all together at the big table in the sunroom. The owner is great about responding quickly to questions... which made it even better. Loved the place. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Secluded Cabin
We had a wonderful time here! Not only is the cabin cute and well stocked, but it is on a gorgeous secluded lot in the middle of the woods (with a beautiful view)! Conveniently located in the middle of several national parks and forests, we enjoyed the nearby scenery and hikes. The cabin has a beautiful sunroom, a well-stocked kitchen, and pretty good WiFi. Would highly recommend for retreat or some time away from the world!

Great mountain escape!
My family and I had a wonderful stay. Great cozy cabin tucked in the woods at about 4Kft with great views. The creek was a great little spot and the walkway was perfect. The added plus we did not expect was having 4G internet, which we both needed as we had to work, and the stereo system which was outstanding! As a music lover, this pushed it over the top! It is rustic or has that rustic feel which I personally enjoy. We had a nice fire almost every night in the fire pit and it was great to watch the sun set on the mountains and see the sky change colors. Cabin was well stocked although it could benefit from the addition of more towels and kitchen towels and perhaps some additional lighting in certain areas. Beyond that, it’s great! Thank you for opening your cabin to our family.

Cozy mountain cabin makes the perfect getaway
We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Directions to cabin were excellently detailed. Cabin was comfortable and homey feeling. The heat works great and the fire place was perfect for cold winter days. Future tennants should bring ice melt/salt, a bag of ice, and check the pantry before they go to the store. The sun room makes even a gloomy day bright. We would definitely stay there again!

Excellent experience
The cabin, location, and experience were all incredible. I can't think of a single improvement. Every possible necessity has been provided, and then some. You cannot imagine the quaint beauty of this perfect little piece of heaven until you awaken to the amazing view, and in our case the dusting of fresh snow which we enjoyed from the fabulous sunroom. I have to say that I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere that gave me such a comforting feeling. This place is a relaxing getaway in itself. I would love to see it in the spring.

Could've been better
Upon arrival there was major evidence of mice; droppings in all the kitchen drawers & cabinets as well as along the walls in almost every room. Owner did respond to our concerns by sending exterminator & housekeeper; however, we felt the need to clean everywhere ourselves as droppings were missed. There was supposed to be stacks of firewood for fireplace in 2 different locations on property, but it was nowhere to be found. There was nowhere to put trash during our stay; since we had 3 children we couldn't leave the bags in the cabin & there was nowhere secure outside, so we ended up making a trip to the dump. The couch cushions were losing their stuffing and there were multiple dining room chair backs broken. The staircase has no railing, so definite hazard for small children. The cabin is for sale, by the way.
To end on a positive note though, the wi-fi was excellent and the view from the porch was awesome; we enjoyed several beautiful sunrises!

Great property with even better views
What a tremendous experience we had with our family. From the truly incredible “above the clouds” views to the creek side trail, our weekend stay was amazing. The house was extremely comfortable and clean, the bedrooms were spacious and quiet. We took advantage of the kitchen supplies and made quite a few home cooked meals. We could not have asked for a better experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, our kids would add that the wood burning fireplace was a definite highlight. We highly recommend this property and will definitely return in the future.

The sunrises are amazing. It was a rustic cabin with all the amenities. Kids got to see their first snowfall and the leaves fun too. A lot of privacy.

Wonderful adventure at this cozy cabin.
My children and grandchildren were excited about our trip to see relatives. The home we stayed at was cozy and comfortable and clean. The fireplace was lit at night and we all just sat around it, loving the time together. I really appreciate the homeowner for sharing a peaceful time together. I would absolutely rent this very special place again.

Great Getaway
Great location between Maggie Valley and Cherokee. The cabin is very comfortable and welcoming. The sunroom is great for drinking coffee and playing games. Everything was very clean and accessible and worked as advertised. Fresh flowers were a nice touch. Gravel road is well maintained as is the driveway, though the driveway feels narrow if you're on a large vehicle. We really enjoyed our stay!

Property needed a deep cleaning and maintenance upgrade. Fridge dirty and food left in freezer. Bedding needs upgrade. Two bats inside home on second night. Condition of property not worth the price paid.

The epitome of a rustic cozy cabin w/ modern & mid century details and the most breathtaking views!
My family of 7 had an amazing winter vacation at Sheepback Mountain estates. We just absolutely loved this cabin! For us, taking a winter mountain vacation has become a tradition that we cherish and look forward to each year around New Years. The cabin is the most important part of these trips because we really spend most of our time there. We have 3 boys 12, 10, 8 and our daughter 22 and her fiancé and we had such a great time taking hikes up the mountain, shooting BB guns out back at the target area, building a fire in the fireplace, and playing games. (Be careful as the bridge out back can be slippery when it rains.) One of the best and most unique features of this house is the incredible sunroom off the kitchen....it is so beautiful and relaxing to sit here and enjoy seeing everything outside. This is also where the main dining room is, as well as the stereo w/ record player (which I really enjoyed using). When we did go into town a few times throughout our week we went to Elevated distillery, as well as some antique and collectible shops right in Maggie Valley. One day we went into Asheville which we love going to Tupelo Honey restaurant, seeing the collective of artists in the Woolworth building as well as honey tasting at the Bee Charmer (so much in Asheville)! That was an easy 40 minute drive frim the cabin as well as downtown Waynesville which is about 15 minutes away from the cabin. We really love the feeling of being tucked away from it all and yet not too far from stores and other conveniences and this location definitely provides that perfectly! Some mornings we woke up to looking down at the clouds from the front porch and when it cleared the mountain views were just incredible. We always talk about having our own cabin some day but in the mean time we will continue to be inspired by the ones we have had the pleasure of staying in. We are so grateful for our time spent here. Thank you!
