Two floors of covered outdoor space ensure everyone gets to enjoy those lovely Outer Banks breezes. Multiple living areas give everyone the chance to spread out and claim a spot as their own. Enjoy a lovely community view from the spacious decks, with beach access only 3 blocks away. With Adirondack chairs, dining sets and even a porch hammock, there's plenty of choices in how you enjoy your outdoors! Parrotdise is a perfect big group vacation home boasting 7 bedrooms & 6.5 baths with over 3,000 square feet. All members of the family are welcome to join in the fun with this PET FRIENDLY property. Calling all pool players! The first level recreation room has a pool table sure to provide hours and hours of fun and friendly competition. Also enjoy a flat panel HDTV, a pub table and plenty of seating to watch the games! A wet bar with a beverage cooler and a microwave has everything you need for simple snacks and drinks. For all your laundry needs a laundry room is located steps away from the recreational area, complete with a new addition retro mini fridge with dual doors and true freezer. This level also contains plenty of sleeping options with three bedrooms. One has a Queen bed, while the other has two twin beds and the third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds. The second level has a comfortable sitting area with two sofas and a great entertainment center with a flat screen HDTV and a corner desk if you simply MUST work on vacation. Let's hope no one uses it!!! Three King En Suites with crisp, new white bedding round out this level. So lovely to NOT have to fight over an En Suite bedroom. The third level of the home is a huge great room, with vaulted ceilings, warm wood accents and a soothing color palette with coastal decor. The living area boasts plenty of plush sofas and chairs, with beautiful bright accent pillows. A large entertainment center with a flat panel HDTV offers the opportunity for the group to gather around together to enjoy the latest Netflix pick. The kitchen is outfitted with everything needed to create a wonderful family meal, enjoy the plentiful cabinets, full suite of appliances (with 2 dishwashers) and a breakfast bar so the chef can have company (and maybe some helpers) as he or she is hard at work. What a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, enjoy a home-cooked meal as you talk, laugh, make plans and memories together. It's time to unplug and unwind! A spacious King En Suite retreat and an additional common half bath round out the third level. Live large on the Outer Banks at Parrotdise!!! This property has 5 parking spots for guests. **Parrotdise is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $135, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.** **Private unheated pools will open on April 16th and close on October 1st. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6 p.m. on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.** Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time. Check-Out is 10am.

There are a number of small things that need attention on the property. Cracked toilet seat that pinches your butt, peeling ceiling popcorn on first floor, towel rack that comes off the wall, stains on carpet, the two bunk beds are incredibly shaky and loose. The door to the bedroom with the 2 bunk beds won’t shut. No hammock on the porch as pictured. No flat spatula in kitchen and the water doesn’t get very hot for dishes. The pool and hot tubs were very nice and well maintained. A Broome and working vacuum would be very handy for people staying there for an extended period. A number of the towels supplied were stained and of question cleanliness. The bed were comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well and the dvds/games supplied were a nice touch. The extra fridges on the 1st floor were very useful. Overall enjoyed our stay but the house could use some TLC and attention to the small things that make a difference in getting customers to return.

The beach house itself wasn’t bad but there were bugs/ants everywhere. no toilet paper/soap in any of the bathrooms, the fans in two of the bathrooms were broken. The first day there, the air conditioning didn’t work and it was ungodly hot. When trying to contact the manager, I never heard back until the next evening. Some fans in the bedrooms also didn’t work so people were very uncomfortable when trying to sleep. The dryer downstairs didn’t work very well either. Overall it was a nice place to stay for a few days but I personally won’t be staying here again.

Lots of damage or broken things that were just covered by wooden decorations. The screen to the pool area was ripped and holes on doors that had wooden decorations like covering the towel rack in the one bedroom kept falling off the wall when a towel was hung on it the ac wasnt working on the bottom level lack of things as simple as toliet paper not in some room when we got there had to buy some to get through the week no trash bags some extra towels since lacked a few just little things just some simple fixes to spruce up the place a bit. Did like the kitchen stocked of things for cooking and dishes rooms were nice house was over all nice. Did have a nice time there.

The rental was not up to par. Hopefully things have been corrected. No hot water for two days. Not very clean. The carpets were horribly dirty. There wasn’t anything like a broom or mop and the sweeper was clogged.. No lighting above stove in the vent. Struck plate missing on the front door that crashed open in the middle of the night that we had to keep shut with a chair proped under the handle. Ect!

Four king suites and three other bedrooms was perfect for our gathering of five families. Off street parking was sufficient for our five cars. Having a pool, hot tub and pool table were big hits. We paid a pet fee but KEES promptly gave us a refund when that was not needed.

This was my first time vacationing in this area in particular so I am guessing the maintenance do not regularly check. Such as the hot tub needing to be cleaned out as well the whole chemical process needed in the pool and hot tub evt. Just some suggestions, if there could be more instructions on how to use the speakers in the upstairs, we were able to figure it out on our own. Also to put more signs to state where the outdoor lights and speakers are. We found the backyard lights in the downstairs bathroom, would have never guessed. But it turned out fine. The good side is that the distance to the beach was accurate and at the end of the day we were able to enjoy ourselves. I liked the idea that there is a book that renters can write in and some even gave some good places to check out.

Roaches crawling in the basement, one of the rooms smelled like vomit, the dishes were unorganized and disgusting (mold, dirt, etc). The shower curtains were moldy also. It would have been a nice stay had things been clean. The house is large and location is convenient. The pool area was nice.

It was windy while we were there and the tree outside the master bed room on the top floor scratched and beat against the house all night.

Changes Needed
The house was not very clean and several things broken upon our arrival. The dishwasher leaked, the dryer didn't work, the carport was covered with spider webs and spider egg sacs, the bathroom shower curtain rods were black with grime, the vents had dust and spider webs hanging from them and the pool had not been cleaned nor was cleaned on our first day. All of these concerns were reported early during a business day and the only thing corrected was the cleanliness of the pool. The dryer was reported immediately because we were counting on the dryer since they cancelled the linen services and needed clean and fresh towels for our stay. One towel and one wash cloth is not enough for a beach stay.
One of the most frustrating things we experienced during our stay was the unacceptable service from the realty company that manages the rental home and its tenants. Our door code quit working on the 2nd day and all of us were locked out of the house. We called and emailed repeatedly and were on hold for 15+ minutes each time and unable to get assistance. Finally, an agent answered and the agent refused to email the new code or wait on the phone for us to try the code so we were locked out (15 of us including an infant). The agent actually hung up on us. We called back and got caught in a long queue again. After 4 attempts and 5 hours later we were able to get into the house.
The house is roomy and provides a lot of common space areas for socializing with family and/or friends. The dining areas are plentiful and support large groups. The location is not ocean front but the walk to the beach is quick and easy. Overall, the house was nice with the cleanliness and guest services being sub-par.

Great place to stay
The house is very roomy, it had more than enough space and beds for my extended family. The walk to the beach borders on too far if you have little ones and all the stuff that comes with them. But the beach is absolutely beautiful! Not too crowded and the sand is gorgeous. There are two close grocery stores and several places to eat close by. The town is very pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Next time we are renting bikes for the week!

Parrotdise is a lovely and comfortable home that accommodated 16 of us comfortably.
I would definitely stay there again. On the surface, the house is clean, but it could use a good thorough dusting of the vents and fans. The refrigerator never got very cold and the ice maker was slow to produce, so we had to buy ice to keep our food and drinks cold. The hot tub was dirty, and the patio needs a good pressure wash. Other than that, it was splendid!! We had an absolutely fabulous vacation!

Loved this place!
Even better than the good-looking pictures showed. We fit our large extended family comfortably. Clean linens were noted and towels were exchanged everyday as needed. The hot tub was warm and pool was comfortable for the kids to swim in even for April. Also the pool/door alarm was a nice amenity as the kids stayed on the first floor away from the rest of us. We used the sand toys so we didn’t have to bring anything. Thanks for a great visit Kees!

Nice house, good location
Rented this house for 10 people. Great layout with plenty of bed and bathrooms. Could use some updating and the kitchen cupboards were messy. Beds were comfortable, pool and hot tub great. Clean towel service daily was a bonus. Did have one issue with a bathroom sink not draining and sent a request to maintenance first morning and it was not fixed during our stay. House was clean except for sliding doors on balconies.
Overall a nice rental that just needs updating.

Nice decent size pool and the onsite pool toys convenient.
Realty staff were quick to respond to clean out the washing machine after we discovered previous renters left sand in it.
Good location to beach but wish it was closer walk than 10mins.
The house very clean and well kept. Kitchen had lots of appliances and utensils.
