About this house rental

Nestled in Folly Beach, this lovely house for $450 per night is a great option for your next trip. Fantastic house with large fenced yard, across the street from beach and walkover. Two blocks from local market, four blocks from Folly pier and center of town. Protected outside shower with hot and cold water to wash off the sand between your toes! Great ocean views from two decks. Enclosed back porch/sunroom just off the kitchen which leads down to the grill. We also provide baby equipment (high chair, baby gates, pak'n'play) so it is one less thing to pack. Spacious eat-in kitchen with a great farm table which seats 8 people and updated stainless appliances and granite counter tops. There is cable TV in the first floor bedroom, living room and 3rd floor. There is a nice GE washer and dryer in the sunroom/enclosed porch on the first floor. The house also has wireless internet service and central heat and air conditioning. There are children's beach toys, boogie boards and one beginner surfboard for tenants use as well as beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Avoid the hassle of the paid parking lots in town and park your car in the private off street parking at the house. There's no need to drive to explore all the cute shops and restaurants since it's an easy stroll to Center Street and the Folly Beach Pier. Our yard is large by beach standards and completely fenced. There are double gates at the driveway entrance which are able close. There is an outdoor propane grill to eat all the great beach cookout meals. There is a separate storage area for house keeping use only. This space is not occupied or for rent and is not included in the square footage of the rental house. Business License #LIC012917

This house is in the perfect location! You can see the ocean from the balconies & it’s a short walk to town. The downstairs bedroom is very small which may be difficult for 2 people. There are lots of stairs & only showers, no tub. It was a great place for us to stay!

We had a lovely 3 generation stay at this well-appointed cottage. The location was amazing with convenient access to the beach, parking for 3 cars, and beautiful patios with amazing views. There were more beach chairs and umbrellas than we could possibly use and everything was in working order. Very happy with our stay!

It is rare to be surprised that a property is bigger and nicer than the listing suggested. This is one of those! We had plenty of room for our family of 4, with 3 bedrooms and a sleeping loft that we weren't expecting! The location across from the beach was so convenient. And the house is far enough from town to be quiet, but a quick walk. Lynn was a wonderful host. She even mailed 2 bathing suits that we left behind! We will be back!

Perfect location for beach days, riding bikes, walking to town and just a short drive to historic Charleston. The cottage was a perfect fit for our group of 7 women. Lynn was wonderful to work with and responded quickly to all my questions. Thank you.

Perfect location for beach activities (surfing, boogie boarding etc), everything in the house worked well and all bedrooms are comfortable and quiet; there is a lot of traffic outside but we could not hear it from inside the house. Parking is a jungle so having our own car spot was a blessing. The beach is crowded but spacious enough to always have good space. Would definitely recommend for active families

We loved our stay! Great location to town and restaurants and easy walk across the street to the beach! Very clean house with everything you will need for the beach! We brought our own chairs, but there were some there and we borrowed their boogie boards which were a big hit! We rented bikes and rode them everywhere we went on the island. We also drove into Charleston a few times....super easy 20 min drive! Definitely recommend this property! Thank you to the hosts! Great communication letting us know everything..super easy! Great week! We are sad its over!

My husband and I had a great week at Swell Cottage. We’re in our mid-late 60s and it was in a perfect location to access the beach and downtown area w/o moving the car. Lynn was very responsive to any questions. Easy drive into downtown Charleston as well. Owners go the extra mile to provide more than your average rental. Would rent again.

This place is absolutely amazing! We’ve stayed on Folly many times, and this is by far the best place! You cannot beat the location! We had our three kids, ages: 4, 6, and 8. It was so easy to just walk across to the public beach access. All the beach supplies the house provided were worth their weight in gold! Chairs, umbrellas, toys, boogie boards, etc. We were all very comfortable in the house. We don’t have one single complaint about our trip! Lynn was amazing to work with and responded very fast to whatever we asked her. We’ll definitely be back to visit Swell Cottage!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. We could see the beach from the back deck, and just a short walk to the beach. Within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops . It is also a short drive into Charleston. I highly recommend this cottage.

We had the best time at Swell Cottage. You are steps away from the beach, with a big yard for playing, and a great layout for multiple ages. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Cannot imagine a better beach house rental experience. The owners were so responsive and lovely. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Folly Beach! Just steps away from the beach and short walk into town. Comfortable beds, convenient kitchen and beautiful porches. Lynn was super responsive and helpful with our one hiccup and solved the problem right away. Can’t ask for better service! Would definitely stay here again! ❤️

This was a great home with perfect location. The beach was across the street and downtown Folly was a short walk away. The decks were great and we spent a lot of time out there taking in the beautiful views. Would highly recommend.

Amazing property in an amazing location. Right across the street from the beach, close to shopping, restaurants and anything else you might need. We flew in and did not rent a car and this property had everything that we needed. Great decks, comfortable beds, fully stocked....the whole package. I give it 5 stars and would definitely stay again. Folly Beach is fantastic but downtown Charleston is an affordable Uber/Lyft ride away. The best of both worlds.

We had a fabulous family vacation at one of our favorite places! This house was just what we needed! Close to everything including shopping and the beach. Outdoor grill gave us a change when we didn’t want to eat out. Kitchen fully equipped to make breakfast, snacks and other indoor meals. Each part of our family had a bedroom and bath on a different floor for privacy and alone time when needed. Washer and drier in the house and all the bath towels we needed. This place had toys, a wagon, umbrellas and chairs for the beach so we were all set when we got there. The shower outside was great for coming home from the beach to shower off the sand! Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you and we will miss you, Swell Cottage at Folly Beach!
