About this house rental
Located in Holmes Beach, this lovely house for $491 per night is a great choice for your next trip. VRC16-000495 The Lake by the Beach at 6806 Palm Drive offers the best of both worlds! This beautiful two bedroom, two bath home is situated on a spring fed lake yet it's only three blocks to the beach. The family room addition provides easy access to the beautiful pool deck. A unique and private heated pool and spa overlooks the lake. There is an open deck at poolside and a large screened lanai for relaxing in the shade. The native landscaping surrounding the home is the essence of seclusion and tranquility! The large kitchen, living and dining area all face out toward the screened lanai and lake. The open design is perfect for family gatherings. There is a 51” television in the family room. The master bedroom now features a 26” television and the guest bedroom now has a 31” television. There is full size washer and dryer as well as a wireless printer. This is a comfortable, beautifully furnished, ground level home with a charcoal grill, and open design. Lake by the Beach will sleep six with a two king size beds and a sofa bed. It is very popular, so please book early. Lake by the Beach is a one week minimum rental. Parking is limited to two vehicles. Not a pet friendly rental You are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

We absolutely loved the house and pool! It was perfect for celebrating our 20th anniversary! Beautiful pool and hot tub setting! Nice screened in back porch. The house was spacious, clean and the master bath shower had great water pressure! Beach was only a few blocks away!!! I hope to get a chance to come back!

We loved this place! The pool is great out back with the lake view with 4 kayaks to use. There was absolutely everything you would ever need! There are pool toys, beach toys even spices in the cabinet for cooking! We wish we could stay for even longer! Loved it!

We Loved Lake by the Beach house! The pictures only do not give the house justice. It’s much nicer in person. The home was very clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. The backyard was wonderful. The view from the screened in porch was so amazing to sit and drink our morning coffee! The pool and spa were great to come back to after being at the beach! We also loved the bikes that came with the house. We cruised around the island like we were kids again! There are a lot of mosquitos since you’re on a lake so just be sure to have bug spray. Overall I give this house a 9.5/10! We will rent here again!

Loved Lake by the Beach Home! We especially loved the back area...pool, dock & lake! Also loved the way the home is laid out. We appreciated all the cookware! The home was so well stocked which is very important to me. Also the extra items left behind were a big plus! The King mattress in Master bedroom was too soft for me due to the cushion padding on it but my husband thought it was fine. The house is 3 blocks from the beach. We rented a beach cart to get there.

We totally fell in love with this beautiful house. While it's not super modern inside, all the furniture is very comfortable. The outdoor area is simply fantastic and will certainly not be found again on the island. We will come back in any case! We would not book any other house on AMI.

Stayed here with my 3 adult children and everyone had a great time, one golfed- one fished- and the other did yoga on the beach! Anna Maria Island had activities for all to do while mom enjoyed sitting on the beach (favorite activity)!

The house was perfect. Incredibly stocked with whatever you need. Very clean and comfortable. I do not have anything bad to say. We needed maintenance for a minor issue that arose while we were staying and the maintenance team was there quickly and fixed it in minutes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake By The Beach! The lanai and backyard space was wonderful. The kids spent many hours in the pool and we enjoyed the view of the lake. We did kayak on the lake and used the bikes that were available. Some of the beach equipment could be replaced but we were able to use it. The beds weren't super comfortable, but all in all, I would recommend this location. Short walk to the beach, close to shops and restaurants, and the backyard space makes up for any other deficiencies!

Property was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. They thought of every item you might need during your stay. The beds and pillows were comfy. The pool and hot tub area was beautiful and the sunset pictures from the back were spectacular! The location was an easy walk or bike ride to the beach. The only drawback to this property is the close proximity to the property to the left when looking out the back. It is very close! There is no privacy when it is occupied.We were fortunate that we only had people on that side for 3 of our 14 nights. One morning 2 small children were splashing and squealing at 7am. Like I said, we were fortunate because for most of our stay we had the lake to ourselves but want others looking for quiet and privacy to be aware that the situation could be different for them.

Oh my goodness, this place had it all! The shed was full of floats, beach supplies, and fishing gear. We couldn't believe how much was there, and what a pleasant surprise to see bikes ready for use on the front porch! The pool and spa were heavenly, and the beach was a short walk away.The pullout sofa area was like having an extra bedroom. The place had been thoroughly cleaned and was well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake by the Beach.

This was our first visit to Anna Maria Island. Location was pretty good, walkable to beach, but need golf cart or vehicle if you don’t want to walk a mile or so into AMI itself. The cost was pretty pricey for what is included. We were given 3 dish pods, 3 small trash bags, and no hand soap for a family of 5 (4 adults and an infant) for a weeks stay. The master bed was very comfortable but the guest bed sinks in the middle and the springs are creaky. The floors had visible dirt (most flooring is tile) all over the house- which made it seem like the house wasn’t well cleaned before our stay. There was also a used/dirty cup on the side of the guest bed when we arrived. The ice machine in the fridge was phenomenal, as well as, the outdoor lanai and pool/spa (this made me give this property the 4 stars). The pool was actually dirty when we arrived, though. Tip: add pavers down to the dock so you don’t have to walk on the pebble stone.
