I've stayed here a couple of times now and keep coming back because it's excellent value for money. The staff are some of the best I've come across during my travels. They're incredibly friendly, helpful and always make you feel welcome. With only a handful of rooms, the property stays quiet and has a much more personal feel than larger hotels. The rooms are a good size, with reliable air conditioning and hot water. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax, and the rooftop seating area is perfect for watching the sunset. The location has also improved a lot, with more restaurants nearby than on my previous visits, a great massage shop and a supermarket only about five minutes away by scooter. Scooter hire is available at the property, and it's only around 25 minutes from Uluwatu.
The area is developing quickly, which has both positives and negatives. There is now construction around the property, including a house being built next door. The noise wasn't too bad during my stay, but the peaceful open surroundings are gradually disappearing. The complimentary breakfast has also gone downhill compared to previous visits. It used to be much more substantial, but this time it was just two pieces of toast, scrambled eggs and a black coffee, which was a little disappointing.
