This is a wonderfully sized and well-equipped property with beautiful views. Our host made us feel welcome by turning the lights on for us as we would be arriving after dark and gabe great directions to make it to the property without incident.

Some shortcomings, starting with positives. The cabin was as expected--not fancy but perfectly adequate. Wonderful views. Nice secluded feeling. Lots of blankets, which were very much needed. Kitchen was entirely adequate. Like refrigerator with left door for freezer and right door for refrigerator. Lots of hot water. The driveway is steep and rough with two tracks on either side of tall weeds and caused anxiety driving a rental sedan. SUV is no problem. I suspect that a low clearance vehicle (such as some Audis) would scrape bottom. When turn off road take the steep left driveway, not the right one. The right driveway does not lead to an entrance. I am from Colorado with rough roads and 4-wheeling so when I assert nervousness about the driveway being rough for sedans that is an informed opinion. Arriving at night is tough-there is no outside light leading from the parking area to the steps and porch. The two steps do not have a handrail so unsteady person would feel awkward. NO HEAT AT ALL WHEN ARRIVED, even though the week had been cool and rainy. Called owner, she tried helping but did not know how to make the heat work. I finally figured it out. Heat in only one bedroom and main living area that took hours to warm. Many blankets help Wall outlet by dining table does not work so could not power laptop at the table. Good: parking area has plenty of room for turning around using forward-backward V cuts so can drive forwards down the steep driveway.

Beautiful Mountain Stay
Beautiful Mountain Stay
My wife and our two dogs had an amazing week long stay at this beautiful property. The view was spectacular and our pups loved being able to adventure on the trails we found in the area. Rachel was a great host, super responsive and only a phone call away if we needed anything or had questions. We would absolutely rent this property again.

Amazing views
Amazing views
We had a great time staying here. It was exactly what we needed. Close to swimming on hot days and a quick drive to Lake Morey Resort for a wedding we attended. The view was amazing and so was the WiFi.,

Challenging Winter Stay
Challenging Winter Stay
While the view and jacuzzi tub were wonderful, the unplowed steep driveway/parking area upon arrival and treacherous “walkway” (icy dirt path underneath the unshoveled deck - which was dripping down and re-freezing on the “path”) were dangerous and beyond disappointing. Despite having 2 AWD vehicles we had to park halfway up the driveway and carry all our belongings (and our youngest child) up to the house. My 75 year old mother (who is well accustomed to VT winters) arrived first and fell on the ice in her attempt to reach the house. There was no ice melt or shovel provided to help us manage. There was no welcome/info packet in the house, so we were constantly texting Rachel, who was at least responsive (got a plow guy to come, albeit hours after we had arrived and walked through snow and slippery ice to get inside). Thankfully the propane stove kept us warm when we awoke to frigid temperatures on our final morning (the heat pump mini split would not warm up). Rachel promised multiple times to refund us partially for our stay but, like another previous guest stated in their review, the refund never materialized. Would not recommend, especially in winter.

Million dollar view.
Million dollar view.
I have gone to this part of Vermont many times. I usually stay at the lake, but chose to stay in the hills. Close to everything I needed and such a view. You want a nice sense of seclusion and the grocery store and nice shops 5 miles away, this is for you

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was cozy and warm with a lovely view of the mountains. We didn’t know how steep the driveway was going to be and with the snow/ice it was tricky getting up and down with the cars. In fact some of our cars had to stay at the bottom of the driveway. Also a little bit further from the lake (Morey) than we hoped. But otherwise this is a lovely property and a nice rental. The owner Rachel was very responsive and made us feel welcome.
