Great value

Perfect beach, great location. Beach 1 minute walk from the apartment. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant, out of all the restaurants visited in Zakynthos the food from Plaka beach's restaurant was the best.

The bed in the room was not great, have to pay each day to use beds at the beach

The worst experience that we had until now with a hotel. Disappointing stuff and location

The worst experience that we had until now with a hotel. Disappointing stuff and location. We had a 9 nights holiday at this hotel, with breakfast included. The breakfast seemed like a bad joke when they started to bring us limited food and with a verry poor quality, no variaty and with no possibility to ask something else. Every day they put on the table just jam, butter, 3-4 slices of cheese and salami even we were 6 persons. We had to buy extra food for our children. No possibility to take more, each time, you have to ask staff, the woman from the kitchen was verry recalcitrant, rude and iritated. She screaming to her guests with no respect. If you want something else to eat, the staff replied this is for extra and we had to pay. Breakfast can be taken only between 9 and 10 o'clock - see attached picture. 1,5 euros tips for each person, even for children when we had launch there - that was the biggest tips of all other locations that we ate in Zakyntos. Poor and questionable quality of the food. We had to pay for the sunbeds on the sand. The cleaning was partially done, only in the bathroom. No mosquito nets and the location is full of mosquito and ants. No toilet paper in the first 3 days. No good location, one single tavern, one single market. We was lucky with the neighboring tavern and the people from there, nice and kind persons. Seemed no improvement, even if stuff replied to other old comments they will try to do things better. They only take the money for something that not exists, like breakfast. We will complain this also to Booking platform, including the fact that they asked us to no communicate thru Booking after we booked the rooms. They asked us to pay 9 euros for a City tax, but in our reservation is mentioned all taxes are included (the guvernamental tax and city tax) - see attached picture. All that matters for these individuals is getting as much extra money as possible and not even through the right methods.

Perfect short break with incredible hosts & quality food & lodging

The whole place was immaculate & the food provided from the kitchens was of a very high quality. Additionally the staff were top quality too. Thanks to: Spiros, Andreas, Panagiotis & Virginia - lovely family

Exceptional

Everything was excellent!

It's a little bit far from the airport and centre of Zakynthos, but is still worth every penny! Would recommend to rent a car to avoid this little 'disadvantage'.

Awful, would not recommend this hotel.

The room had been recently refurbished

The owner was the most unhelpful person I have met, rude and arrogant Greek family. The rooms were extremely small, the shower if you are a larger figure won't fit in. We booked a sea view, its only a sea view if you go onto the balcony and look right. The breakfast, there is NO choice its just put infront of you, slice of ham and cheese, jam, eggs if you're lucky,small piece of fruit, no consideration for allergies what so ever. . When I questioned what was classed as a continental breakfast I was told its listed on the website. It isn't listed anywhere. I said what was mentioned on trip advisor, he abruptly tole me they are not on trip advisor, they are!! You have to pay for sunloungers, meal in the restaurant was awful, service poor and the room was cleaned twice in 8 days. Considering covid is still very much around that I'd apauling. I asked did they have a shower room to use as our flight isn't until the evening, he told us to use the showers by the beach!! We ended up paying for breakfast daily, buffet selection at the hotel next door. All you can eat for €10, used their pool and gave the Vasilikos Beach Hotel our money throughout the day. Much nicer people. I would not book Plaka Beach Resort or recommend this hotel to anyone. It is more of a hostel than hotel!

Very nice vacation

In the relation to the price, almost everythig OK. Personal super, area and beach super, ... thank you.

Maybe a need to pay for the sunbed on the beach, but you can take free in the garden.

neatly maintained rooms and resort but facilities less caring

Resort and room look neat. Clean towels every dat.

breakfast is very limited and not very tasty. The playground is closed because of COVID. But it also looks very poorly maintained. High chair is not offered in the apartment. Only in the restaurant. The shower head does not hang, you have to hold it yourself. Music at the beach is incredibly loud. no tea towel and washing-up brush available.

I suggest to book one of the superior rooms to have beautiful seaview from the balcony.

It was the most beautiful beach around, and the best maintained. Very helpful and friendly staff, great seaview from the room and tasty foods in the restaurant. Everything is close (eg.: shops, pharmacy, Argassi) and easy to reach.

The breakfast is almost the same every day, should be more mixed. The beach was closed from 9:00 to 20:00 due to decontamination, but there were no other beaches did the same.

Very good

The staff was really friendly! The location was more than perfect! The beach was clean as all other beaches should be! The food in the restaurant which you pay for is the traditional greek cuisine and it is very tastefull! I want to give the owner a friendly advice: If you give some discount for guests of you hotel for the restaurant and bar you will have for sure more customers. You already took our money for stay why you dont want to take more. You have to attract us somehow!

I did not like the breakfast! They should be kidding with us! They should change everyday the sheets and duveys! As we are guests of the hotel we should use the sun umbrella and the sun beds for free!!!

Been to this area years ago and it was everything and more than I remember. Hosts were fantastic!

Location and proximity to the beach.

Only one thing... Music compilations were a bit unique and just too loud, I like to chill and read, turn it down a few notches :) it gets a bit irritating.

Pleasant

The rooms weren't in the same postcode as the beach. Breakfast is a joke especially concerning the coffee. Changing towels for fresh ones after 3 days was a problem. :(
