The property is clean, too clean for a farm. It’s has paying throughout with little dirt for that farm look, there are activities inside for both kids and adults together with competitive prices at the restaurant. We went horse riding which was fun and affordable, the instructors are well trained and know their way around horses.
The property is well close to the Caledon border gate with a walking distance of 5 minutes and a drive or a minute.

This was an amazing 4 day family stay for our 3 generation family. The staff “het ouma op die hande gedra”. The children made friends and played into the night with the children of other guests. The breakfast and dinner was exceptional for a Holiday Farm. Rooms were cleaned daily. Underfloor heating in winter was wonderful to have.
This place will bend over backwards for you. I can’t comment on lunch because this area in the Oos Vrystaat and Northern Lesotho is arguably the most jam packed tourist location in Southern Africa, so I was never here for Lunch but always came back to perfect hospitality in the evening.
The area is full of Passes, 4x4 & Motor Bike Roads, AfriSki, Dinosaur Centre at Golden Gate, Clarence Shops and Restaurants, AfriSki, Ficksburg, Africa’s most impressive mountains, Rock Paintings, The history of Important Boer and Basotho Leaders and Legends.

breakfast was fine
The dinner was not so good. no choices but they were a bit stretched because they had a big wedding on the weekend
I was disappointed with the food. Fortunately the curry (the only dish available) was not very strong. There was no menu shown to the patrons

You have no option when it comes to food, you eat what you are served. high school camp vibes. Not really what I expected.
The food, the furniture is old.
