Grear alternative to a big resort hotel. All of the apartments seem to be privately owned or run by a company.

lots of space. pool and beach great. organised entry etc great alternative to a big resort hotel with all the amenities, pool, tennis etc would recommend to those looking for self catering option 1 mile from town. We are a family of 5 and loved it.

The development is fantastic, in general, it is really good! The swimming pool is huge, and indeed, it is highly recommended to hire a car to commute to this development, you really need a car. The Golf course is around the corner, they have a local convenience store, and it is just a quick drive to the main supermarkets. The host is fantastic, Gladys from Moskito was very supportive at all times. The only feedback I can provide: 1. there isn't a lot of shade in the swimming pool area because the trees are far from it, which makes sense to avoid any leaves in the pool; 2. the swimming pool has a small paddling pool area, and the rest of the pool is between 1.3m and 1.5m depth, which is perfect for kids and adults (but not for Babies or toddlers); 3. the restaurants have a QRcode scanning menu, if your cell/mobile carrier is from abroad it will take ages to deploy, plus the Faro Azul restaurant is not really for snacks, whilst the Punto Azul restaurant it is designed for snacks - or viceversa (but it opens after 1 pm); so if you want Guacamole and crisps, or chips/french fries with ketchup, they will send you to the other restuarant; on the other hand, you can bring your own snacks to the swimming pool area (not inside the pool, but near the pool at the fantastic hammocks and/or the sunbeds); 4. I suggest using the stairs for going inside the pool, as it is a huge pool, it may have sharp corners because those little tiles are always falling (it is a massive pool, this is inevitable), and you may hurt yourself with one of the sharp corners, especially around the lights, as it happened to me => bad luck!, but I don't see how can they control all those details as it is truly a very very big swimming pool, and to be honest it is a great one!

No shade around the pool Snacks restaurant opens at 1 pm (not before) Sharp edges in the swimming pool around the underwater lights The paddling pool for babies is a bit small in comparison to the size of the pool (this is the perfect pool with young children, but with babies and toddlers a little bit of shade and a wider paddling pool would be really useful), but still, this is an amazing place!

It was a perfect place to rest in Playa del Carmen.

I loved everything. Gladys was excellent, she answered all my questions and very quick in answering our doubts. I will definitely recommend Mareazul to my friends and family

Not so many options of restaurants. There were construction and that caused some noise during the day.

Disappointing

peaceful, quiet , nice well maintained nature the property host Gladys is a rock star and responsive despite the concerning conditions of the apts… though about buying one but as below

had to change to a new property because the original one the ac was nonfunctional. in this one the ac control of the master bedroom was nonfunctional…next day had to have maintenance come by x 2 then asked in the middle of stay to move to a new property disrupting a day of vacation - horrible when assigned to the new property: no water power in the master bedroom, and continue to he poor during the stay and cold water intermittently-despite repair still poor power and cold water the new assigned apt had an extra security box in the closet ( we we tough to to use another type). this box was very sensitive! while moving clothes around the closet if it was touch it would not shut up the alarm despite multiple maneuvers to stop the annoying alarm… happen 3 times at night then there were rain related water intrusion into the living the room the staff came the next day and spent the day repairing after 2 hrs we asked for privacy with the family in the apt…the staid more hours to repair it…. then left the living room dirty for us to clean!!! …another day lost… several more issues…will share the videos the location is good but the entire 10 day stay the beach was horrible full of sargasso… of course we had to figure that out and research afterwards…will share the videos then the last day no water or light or energy because of a blackout… inconceivable that such large complex with so much potential and a KNOWN city problem does not have a backup generator at least x the restaurant were people can go….if someone or a kid happened to be in an elevator when that happened it would be a risky legal issue: the property should mention this type of blackouts issues without backup to all visiting clients ( as per staff this happens at least once every other month)…yes, will share videos and photos

Spacious modern apartment well equipped. Huge pool area, never crowded, beautiful clean private beach with umbrellas and lounge chairs with no extra cost. Good restaurant on the property. Property located about 15 min drive to 5th Avenue with lots of shops and restaurants and Mayan Arch of Playa del Carmen.

There was construction going on in several units in different buildings. One was right above our unit. So from Monday till Friday we experienced very loud construction traction noise. It was hardly possible to stay inside with that noise, so we were planning our day trying to stay outside most of the day. It was quite inconvenient, since we are family with 2 kids and a baby.

A hidden gem that is perfect for any stay.

This property is a hidden gem! Being in Mexico during spring break can be overwhelming but Mareazul was not. It was safe, secluded, quiet, absolutely beautiful, and we loved the giant pool and private beach! I will definitely be returning.

We had a few neighbors partying into the wee hours of the night and having kids sleeping in the living room it wasn’t ideal. Also smoking neighbors wasn’t fun either but that is not a reflection on the property.

Definitely recommended. Going next time to Yucatan peninsula we will for sure consider it again.

Very nice a quite place, Apartment was really well equipped. We got the one on base flor so we could enjoy the big terrace and surrounding swimming pool :-) As apartment is located in private condominiums areas we worry a little bit about an arrival procedure, but at the end to contact with renting company was working properly through booking chat. So basically do not hesitate to use this location. Nice clean guarded playa with umbrellas (no extra charge) Very clean big pools area You have to arrange all food by yourself unless you want to use pool restaurant, but this we knew so better rent a car and make some shopping in local city grocery. there is a grocery store in condo area but we never use it.

Baking oven doesn't work at all ... the service company was trying to adjust it during our stay but without any success. Some apartments in vicinity were under renovation, so we suffer a bit of noise from drilling or hammering, but not very uncomfortable

Beautiful modern unit with amazing pools and beachs. I would love to live here!

Wow! Right when we walked into our unit it popped. It was very modern and stylish. The unit flowed perfectly and was really light and airy. The balcony was very large and comfortable. We had Netflix and other channels available to us though we tried to be outdoors as much has possible. The grounds were very well maintained and huge as was the pool. I have never seen such a large pool area which bordered on ridiculous due to its size. The beach was perfect. Large and relatively isolated - brings back great memories. There was a nearby beach club that had good food and the bar/restaurant within the property was perfectly located with great staff. I always felt very safe as security seemed a priority.

The property is far from the city center which is good or bad depending on what you're looking for in your stay. None of the jacuzzi's worked which was a little disappointing but not a deal breaker. Since the complex is so large and our unit was towards the back walking to the beach was a little far but not too bad. Overall I'm struggling to come up with things I didn't like as we were very happy with our stay.

Wonderful stay in great location apartment with great view.

Location was excellent and the view breathtaking. Excellent service and employees disposition to help.

Maintenance could be better, details inside the apartment needed some work. Water pressure in showers was low.
