Simple - Zweckmäßig

Die Lage ist recht zentral. Das Zimmer war sehr groß. Die Betten etwas hart. Das Frühstück ist sehr simple aber inklusive.

Superb

The private room was small but it had everything we needed. The staff helped us book a tour and a train to Vang Vieng which was nice. The daily breakfast was really awesome! The location was great, close to everything. The pool was at the other location but only a 2 minute walk and it was clean and great to be able to use.

They had a really sweet little dog named ZuZu that lived under the stairs on the main floor and they had him chained up to a very uncomfortable leash that hurt his neck. The dog was very neglected and depressed as they never took it outside for walks or let it off the leash to play. It lived in a dark hole surrounded by tools and other random storage items and slept in a tiny little suitcase. I know that the dog lived a very poor quality of life and seeing that just made me so sad every day. I would always stop to pet and give the dog love but he was very sad and unhealthy, which you could see by just looking at him. The owners had also just gotten a new puppy and gave it so much love and attention which is great for the new dog but it made me even more sad to think they just treated ZuZu so poorly because they got bored of him and now have new dog to be excited over. Just wrong and I still think about how sad and neglected that poor little ZuZu was.

I value this place, worth coming back

The first floor is cool, the swimming pool is located 50m away (very close) the rooftop floor is super peak with mountain views and the feeling of sweeping everywhere around. located in a prime location, not too noisy, but still popular with us. the staff is super good, the room is also comfortable. there are full air conditioning, fans, reading lights and curtains. spacious and

Good place to stay

could do with a little bit of an update but still a good place to stay! like that the showers are separate to the rooms and the breakfast is also good! Nice and quiet at night. Able to book tubing through the hostel too!

Room rates here are ok, Swimming pool at the second hostel. Just go to the right and it will take you two minutes to arrive. It's really not as far away as I thought, this place is quite amazing

Cosy, social and quiet place, felt like at home

What I loved the most was Zuzu, their cute little dog. I asked the owner if I can walk him and I walked him close to the hostel several times, he was so excited. Me and other guests played with him in the reception area and he was so happy. If you get the chance, he is under the stairs, take him in the reception and play with him. He is sad all day alone under the stairs. Also if someone is in Vientiane and could bring a small leash for him would be amazing, he only has a thick one that is hurting his neck. The facility is very clean, people at the reception are really kind, they speak perfect English, smile all the time and can help you book anything: thank you Sor and Pon for all your help, it was so nice to meet you! I also got to meet Kim, her family owns the place. She is lovely, really nice and open, speaking perfect English. I was happy she shared with me some of the customs in Laos and Vietnam. Thank you for everything, I really felt like home here. So happy that I booked this place.

No complains. It was really nice. They have a rooftop terrace they are re-modeling, you can go there to see the view though. I recommend.

Chill Vang Vieng

Amazing location, friendly staff. Room looks way better than on the pictures. The bed was really comfortable. Nice addition was the free bbq on saturday night.

There was no pressure in the shower when you took one with someone else at the same time. Temperature went either from boiling hot to ice cold. Booking tours in the hostel was also always a bit more expensive than in other places.

Nice hostel with a good breakfast. The pool is at the other hostel around the corner. Right in the center so around a lot of food option and tour operators. You can easily walk to the river. Beds are comfy and the bathrooms were clean.

The rooms are quite smqll for the amoubt beds they have. It's fine if you don't spend that much time there. It is a party hostel. It is not that noisy, but I think the average age is quite young (in comparison to some other places).

Amazing value, quiet, clean and comfortable!

The hostel isn't fancy but they keep it really clean, it's comfortable and quiet, and the family that runs it is really nice and helpful. Great value!

They don't give you an AC remote, I had to turn it on manually. Vang Vieng is cold, but the room gets humid at night. I had a good sleep once I picked on the AC. I recommend not paying in foreign currency, they don't give you a good rate. Almost next door is another place that gives you a much better rate for you Thai baht or dollars.

Perfect!

Good Location, close enough to everything and far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. It has a respectful vibe that transmits itself onto the other people staying there. “That person” wasnt there. Large washrooms with lots of toilets and showers with good pressure and lots of hot water. It is an older building and super clean! They clean the washrooms first thing in morning so you start your day fresh! the staff are hard working, accommodating, cheerful and considerate. Beautiful view from the rooftop. Ms Kim is very kind and helpfull.
