This is my second time staying at this ryokan and I love it. It is managed by a kind elderly couple and I received a warm welcome for my second trip and they even prepared a birthday gift for me, as I was travelling for my birthday.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious enough, with traditional tatami and bedding. Everything is extremely clean at all times - the room, the common areas and the bathrooms which made my stay very comfortable. I love the Japanese bathtub which I liked to use after a long day of walking around in the city. They also provide green tea, hot water and senbei in the room every day. The ryokan is located close to the subway and the river, there is a Family Mart just next door where you can enjoy a breakfast at the river in the morning, but there's also plenty of authentic restaurants in the area. I just feel very much at home in this ryokan now and will come back here whenever I am back in Tokyo. Thank you for this lovely stay and for giving me a great experience!

lovely futon room, nice staff, good location (ideal subway connection).
I wish there were breakfast available. But the family mart a few steps away makes a decent cafe at least :)

This was one the best expiriences i have ever had with a stay. The staff was sooo kind and helpful. Everything was so clean and convinient. And the ryokan was such a nice place to stay while in Tokio. The area it is in is really nice and there are two stations nearby. I will come back for sure. Thank you

This a Japanese inn style hotel and very close to the Yamanote line Gotanda station which helped with easy transportation to all the places I needed to be. Lots of places to eat nearby and the staff were friendly too.
❶ My room had a continuous weird smell - I suspect the tatami mats were damp and wasn't getting enough opportunity to dry. As soon as I close the door, the smell would build up and wasn't pleasant at all. Ventilation was also an issue. ❷ The hotel didn't supply drinking water, I had to buy from the nearest 7-11.
