Lovely hotel but steep hill would stop us booking again

Fab large room and very comfy bed. Great views and free upgrade to Glen View room. Top of house so very quiet . Huge fan in there too which is fab with humid weather

All the very low beams at last flight of stairs and in room, continually ducking when walking around room and bathroom . Top of a VERY steep hill too, no mention in write up

Based on our experience we could not recommend the hotel.

Location good. Breakfast OK. Staff good. Room was clean, and recently redecorated. Good private parking

Bedroom (No 6) was very small, and double bed very uncomfortable - need to replace bed-base and mattress. Really only a single room. Only got comfortable by sleeping on top of the duvet with towels for cover. Bathroom tiny with the toilet squeezed between the wall and end of the bath with shower panel - after using the toilet you could not clean yourself without standing up and moving!! (Suggest they replace bath with walk-in shower on end wall, and move sink next to toilet to provide responsible space.) Outside of the building needs work - paint peeling from most walls and around front door - front entrance not very inviting. Rear entrance from car park was OK. Stairs are narrow with numerous safety doors (required), any room means climbing 2 to 4 sets of stairs.

Claremont House was excellent, just a few minutes walk fro the beech.

Glen suite was great, plenty of room with great views over the sea, breakfast was excellent, friendly helpful staff, no parking problems. Would certainly visit again.

Breakfast nice. staff polite. Very clean.fine for 2 night's.

A bit dated in the decor. Very hard bed. Hairdryer out of the ark. Disappointed with the sea view you could see it over the trees in distance.I wouldn't call it sea view.tv ariel not working properly a bit hit and miss for a picture

Friendly, well appointed hotel with excellent family rooms and delicious breakfasts!

Fabulous bright spacious family room attractively decorated (Room 4 was ours) - a pleasure to come back to after day on beach. Friendly attentive staff - nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfast. A short walk from beaches and restaurants (short steep walk back up).

There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice little hotel and close to the beach

Only issue we had was on checkout there wasn’t anyone at reception so we just left our key there, would have been nice to say goodbye to the staff.
