Located in West Tisbury, this attractive house for $381 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This bright, airy Vineyard saltbox underwent a complete renovation in 2009. Everything inside is new, including the furnishings and linens. The kitchen is immaculate and fully-equipped, including all new appliances (gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher). There are 3 new skylights, new Andersen windows throughout, and French doors leading to a large deck. This island get-away has central heat and central air-conditioning, and a beautiful mahogany outdoor shower. It is set back over 100 feet from the road, providing privacy with easy accessibility. Enjoy a short walk to the village for groceries, pharmacy and coffee. Bike to beautiful Lambert's Cove Beach, which is accessible only to West Tisbury residents and their lessees. This two-story home is truly Ideal for the whole family with its first floor queen-size bedroom and full bath, and its second floor queen-size bedroom, large second bedroom with three beds, and a 3/4 bath.

We loved our time at David's house. It was a perfect location on the island. The house was clean, and exactly what my family needed during our vacation. Some updates are needed (a large crimp in the carpet upstairs), but it was lovely. The sidewalk picks up about 30 yards from the house, so I didn't trust walking with little kids.
We hope to return next year!

The house was more than adequately outfitted with all kitchen, bath and bedding needs. All appliances and mechanical systems worked well. The outdoor shower was the best we have ever had. MV Wedding Weekend
We picked this particular property for it's proximity to the home where the wedding was held. The house was the perfect size for our group. Everything functioned properly. We definitely could have used an extra hour or two to check out as we needed to wash linens prior to check out. Also, although soap was provided in the shower, there was no shampoo. Overall an excellent experience.

Great Vacation, Great House
We enjoyed our Vineyard vacation. When we arrived we were impressed with the house and yard; in our opinion it was nicer in person than the pictures. The yard was large enough for my young kids to kick around a soccer ball and surrounded by trees so there was privacy. State Road was busy, but we were far enough off the road and the trees provided enough cover so that we didn't feel like we were on a busy road. We enjoyed meals on the deck at the large table. The house was located a 5 minute drive away from the private beach at Lambert's Cove and it was a lovely beach. There was a coffee shop, grocery store and apothecary within walking distance and in fact we enjoyed our walk to get our iced coffees every morning. The outdoor shower was large and we loved using it every day.
The house was very clean when we arrived. It had many items to make it convenient for us - beach chairs, a beach cart to help cart our items to/from the beach (much appreciated when we had two kids and all their toys along with chairs), a beach umbrella, etc. It was nice having linens and towels provided so we could save space when packing. The house more than accommodated the four adults and two kids in our group.
Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant. David provided a handy pamphlet with many details about the island - restaurants, beaches, etc. which was appreciated.
There was one snag we encountered during our visit but in our opinion David went above and beyond to rectify the issue.
All in all we enjoyed our vacation and the property had everything we would need. I would have no problem recommending this house to anyone looking for a nice place to stay on the Vineyard.

My 8 yr-old daughter enjoyed the alcove in the twin bedroom and the thoughtfulness of the owner is second to none. There was an issue with the air conditioning but he went out of his way to meet us, bring in fans and communicated with us about the situation. The nights are cool and we were gone for most of the day that it did not impact anything. The home is in a quieter location which is what we were looking for and the property is beautiful. We hope to come back again next year!

But the house was close enough to the bus route if you don't have a car. I highly suggest you bring your car though. Over all totally awesome and so great to stay for the week!

We really enjoyed this house. The listing is 100% accurate. House is spacious- well laid out, very clean, well equipped for a weeks stay. We really enjoyed the deck and yard space. Great location to get into town or up island. David’s communication is excellent. Home away from home...
This was a comfortable and cozy home with everything we needed...plenty of space and all the conveniences. Loved the deck - we often dined outside and enjoyed the trees and watching birds flit about. Access to the beach at Lambert’s Cove was a huge bonus. Good location, and lots of dining and shopping options nearby. Can recommend as a great place to stay on MV.

Good location, clean, comfortable.
We found the central location of this house convenient for experiencing the entire island. There's a Cronig's grocery store just up the street. We visited the Farmer's Market at the Grange, bought fish at Larsen's in Menemsha, rode the Carousel in Oak Bluffs, shopped in Vineyard Haven and had lunch in Edgartown. Our host David was friendly and responsive. The house itself is comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a full dinner. The beds are comfortable. There's cable tv with Netflix, an outdoor shower and full laundry room. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks David!

Cozy home, relaxing and peaceful, would come back again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home. Your house was perfect for us and so cozy and clean. My mom who is 80 years old loved the deck where she sat outside in the mornings with my husband drinking their coffee and having breakfast. My sister and I enjoyed catching up on some sleep, as NYC commuters we needed a vacation and your house was perfect, peaceful and we felt like we were at home.

Clean and Convenient
We very much enjoyed our stay here! The house was very clean and fairly centrally located to major attractions. Our 3 year old daughter LOVED the little bed in the alcove and the colorful nightlights upstairs. The owner was extremely responsive and provided helpful information about the area. There are many excellent dining options a short drive away. Our favorite place to have breakfast on the go was right down the street at 7a - get the biscuit breakfast sandwiches every chance you get!!!! There is also the Scottish Bakehouse and The Little House on State Rd that are very good. State Road restaurant is right up the road a bit...most delicious dinner! Make reservations though...even in the off-season.
Downside of staying here is that you're not really in walking distance of anything and State Rd is fairly busy. However, Lambert's Cove is close by and is one of the best, if not THE best, beach on the entire island. We spent a lot of time here. Go early. Go often. Stay for the sunsets.

Great spot for our first time on MV!
Can't say enough good things about David's house! From initial contact through the time leading up to our stay David was very prompt in responding to all questions. The house was super clean and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here in the future!!!
