The location, view from the hotel, cordial staff, open space around the hotel, electric blanket and especially the Manager Kashim who was very helpfull regarding our comfortableness.
They should keep sandle in the washroom and tissue paper for the guest before their arrival though they provided instantly after our request.

The location is superb, wonderful mountain views and just a little way from the busy part of the town, so it was quiet and no hassles. The staff at the hotel were simply amazing! They made sure every part of my stay was comfortable - checking with me about meals, offering to escort me up the mountain to the glacier and even taking me to a local tribal village to visit. The food was also excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is wonderfully located against a Himalayan backdrop, with a river running close-by. After sorting out the initial hiccup, staff were friendly and attentive - helping to organise our horse ride to the glacier, as well as our transport back to Srinigar. Our booking included all meals and we were impressed by the delicious quality of breakfast, lunch and dinner. We appreciated the electric blanket and warm blankets on the bed. Once the renovations are complete, and the staff given some more training (cleanliness and guest relations specifically), I think this hotel could be one of the best in Sonamarg!
Our first impression was not a good one - front desk staff did not appear welcoming and the furniture in our room was covered in dust due to the renovations taking place in the hotel. We immediately asked for the room to be cleaned and expressed our general dissatisfaction at the noise and dust (we had not been informed of the renovations prior) and from there on out we were treated to excellent hospitality and service. There was no shower in our room - only a tap with a bucket, jug & stool (something that international guests are not used to). Hot water was only really available in the morning. At the time of our stay, the hotel could not accept international credit cards (there is an ATM in the town to draw cash instead).
