We liked the dependable drivers and bus shuttle service from the venue to Kusatsu Town.
We booked a family room and appreciated the extra space and room layout. The indoor and outdoor hot spring baths were enjoyable and relaxing.
Both buffets have a healthy variety and the staff work very hard.
We stayed 2 nights and the 2nd night there was a family with kids staying on the upper floor and running in the room until late hours.
The indoor pool was closed during most of our stay.
Activities such as bowling and pool require additional fees for hotel guests to enjoy. French food also requires an extra fee.
It can be crowded with university students staying as guests.

We booked this hotel because of the cabins.
Four stars is ridiculous. The whole hotel is very dated and in need of serious investment to improve.
It was a surprise to find that the cabins had NO WI-FI. Yes, it didn’t mention in the room description that there was Wi-Fi but in this day and age, if Wi-Fi isn’t included it should be mentioned.
Every activity (even the swimming pool) costs extra to use. When I asked the prices, I was given a price list in Japanese and told to google translate it. For a supposed 4 star hotel, this information should have been translated.
The only good thing was the very prompt bus service to and from the town but I would recommend others to just book somewhere central.
