The room had an awesome view of the square and the church. We enjoyed having the windows opened letting in some cool refreshing air in the room the first night. The location was prime and since we stayed in the town, it afforded us free tickets to access to the basilica, which we didn't really need because we visited it in the evening when most of the crowds had headed back down off the mountain town for the day. The town is small and shuts down relatively early in the night, but that was enjoyable. The bells from the basilica wrang every hour and I thought it would keep me up, but I adjusted very quickly to it. There are so many hiking trails in the area that I would recommend at least two days. We spent two days and enjoyed both days there. The two young men at the front desk were so incredibly friendly and helpful. You can drive up to offload your luggage, but there's no parking there. You must park in the lower lot below the town and it is a 500 to 1000 meter walk.

The hotel location was perfect -- right next to the Cathedral, we were able to visit the Black Madonna and listen to the monks singing.
We also took the funicular St. Joan and saw a couple of hermitages. We'd love to go back in autumn or spring to explore the area more!
The room aircon was not strong enough against the heatwave.
There were limited dining options outside of the hotel.

Location
You have to park your car quite far from the property. They do let you drop off and collect your luggage but given the amount of parking spots nearby that could be utilised it feels like they are missing a trick.
Be warned - there’s no air con as at July 2026. It’s was 35 outside and difficult to sleep although they did get a fan for us when we desperately requested it.
