The setting was lovely!, high on the hills overlooking Florence. So much character and charm. Loved the large pool set amongst the olive trees. Very quiet and peaceful. Two wonderful restaurants only an 8 minute walk to the town.
It was a bit difficult to get Ubers or taxis down into the city without paying high prices. Best bet is to take the buss from the town center. Found it difficult to navigate the bus system to get back up to Settignano:( Wish the door off the bedroom had a bit more privacy and maybe a fan for warm nights.

Villa was a good size for family of 4. En-suites for both rooms.
Air conditioning was excellent.
Lovely view over Florence.
Swimming pool was very clean and good temperature. With only 3 villas let out on the hillside site, plus use by the owners family, it always felt relaxed and personal, and never crowded.
They left us a nice initial supply of groceries which helped for first day breakfast, including good coffee.
They answered any questions via MyBooking.com and WhatsApp messages timely and helpfully.
We picked the wrong weeks to benefit from the few restaurants in the town as they were shut for their holidays. Keep your eye on this if you only want to walk in evenings for meals out.
We had to drive but found some nice restaurants within 10/15 mins drive.
Also the “TaxiMove” was very good, and whilst pre booking was a problem they arrived within 5/10 mins of booking, and when in Florence we called the center, where the team spoke very good English, and cans arrived within a few minutes.

Je séjournais ici pour la seconde année consécutive. En dépit du fait que nous ne sommes restés que 24h au lieu de 5 jours en raison d'un deuil familial (Aucune proposition de contrepartie) nous avons pu constater que l'environnement, le paysage et la piscine (Même avec une peinture de sol dégradée) restent des atouts majeurs.
L'équipement de l'hébergement s'est indéniablement dégradé: chasse d'eau plus que capricieuse, système électrique obsolète (Nécessité d'adaptateurs vue l’ancienneté du système électrique et un seul adaptateur fourni / interrupteurs n'allumant rien). Équipement de la cuisine insuffisant; il y a par exemple une essoreuse à salade mais pas de saladier, un support à couteaux sans couteaux... Il y a une machine à laver le linge très appréciable, mais le tancarville a disparu... En fait, il semble que nous soyons passés d'un accueil par les propriétaires à une conciergerie peu encline à se déplacer pour régler les problèmes une fois les clés transmises et la taxe de séjour encaissée... Bref l'humain n'est plus très présent... Une reprise en main s'impose pour un lieu qui pourrait être exceptionnel.
