Located in Newry, this lovely house for $446 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Log cabin style large private house on private wooded lot / private road with great mountain views. 17 minute drive to Sunday River ski resort, 10 minutes to downtown Bethel dinning and shopping, and a short walk on a private path to the Androscoggin River. X-Country ski trails at Carter's a short 3 minutes away. Three story home with 4 large bedrooms, sleeping as many as 10 in beds with sofa/futon options for more. Master Bedroom is ensuite and on the main level. Soaring ceilings with two story windows on main level with river rock fireplace surrounded by oversized leather sofas. Large recreation room with pingpong, darts, bar, & flatscreen TV. Oversized kitchen fully equipped to prepare and serve meals for a large group. Outdoor fire pit, and driveway parking for 6 cars (or more). Bedrooms: Master ensuite on main level (with Kitchen, dinning and living rooms), two very large bedrooms on upper level with bunk beds (each have double and single) and one has an additional queen bed, queen bed in lower level bedroom, and a double futon in the lower level game room

The property is beautiful and well furnished. Very comfortable. We really enjoyed the wood stove and the open concept enhancing our time together as a family. We liked that the only TV was in the spacious finished basement and the ping pong table, darts and bar were fun. The only thing missing was a hot tub to jump in after a long day of skiing. Will definitely come back to this property.

We had an amazing time at Kathy’s house. The house was immaculate, so well equipped and most of all, stunning. Our family loved the layout of the house, it truly was lovely. We spent a lot of time at the house, as it rained a lot. We used the fire pit to make s’mores, and enjoyed the cool evening nights. We definitely hope to book another stay here. It was an amazing trip!

We had a wonderful two weeks with family and friends at this lovely home in the Maine woods. The house was spotless and extremely well-appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was convenient for our hiking, fishing and swimming and we enjoyed exploring the little village of Bethel. Ping pong, darts, and Monopoly provided hours of fun and the deck was perfect for cocktails at sunset (when we were visited regularly by an inquisitive humming bird) as well as for star gazing on the clear nights. We would revisit this special place in a heartbeat!

The house was minutes from town but secluded in the woods. There was a nice perimeter including lawn where the dogs could do their business. The cool lower level was a nice place for refuge on a few hot days. One neighbor set off fireworks for about an hour on the 4th; otherwise we had the peaceful spot we and our dogs hoped for on the long weekend. Many listings brag about having a well equipped kitchen...but this was a rare house where that was actually true. Clearly the house is mostly used by winter visitors interested in skiing, but we can recommend it as a comfortable place where families large or small can relax during summer and enjoy the amenities of Bethel.

This property is amazing! My family (three sons, wives and 2 grandchildren) enjoyed this well appointed property as part of our annual family weekend away. The large living spaces allowed us to socialize and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious allowing easy preparation of family meals. We found the property clean and well cared for!

The house was absolutely beautiful, very accommodating for several couples and was great we could bring our fur babies! I have to say this was the most well stocked house, in terms of everyday items, paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper and many other things! Usually we end up having to find a store near by to purchase these things. Directions were clear and straight forward, we took our side by side up to bring to Jericho which was about an hour away, so not too bad in terms of location. Highly recommend.

This tranquil property was super clean, comfortable, and superbly equipped. The fact that everything one could want - toothpaste, dental picks, rice cooker, toaster, toaster oven, scissors, coffee grinder, coffee filters and more - made us feel welcomed and relaxed. My guests are ready to rent again.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Check in process was super simple and straight forward. The house is stunning and nestled into the woods for moderate privacy. The kitchen has every appliance and apparatus you could possibly need while on vacation - and then some!! Location is near lots of local hikes and the path to the river down the road was a bonus for an afternoon walk!

We loved staying at Kathy's house in Bethel. It has a great set-up for two families to both be together and have their own spaces. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen that we've ever had at a rental house. Nearby are some lovely trails that were perfect for morning and afternoon dog walks. A short drive gets you to Sunday River and if you love cross country skiing, Carter's is right down the street. We will stay here again when the opportunity arises. Thanks, Kathy!

The house was so well equipped to handle 6 adults and 2 children. Great space so all felt they could retreat after a full day of skiing or snowshoeing. Many giggles were had. Great place relax and reset!! Kathy was a pleasure and very accommodating. A 5 star house experience for sure!!!

This house is fantastic! It is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, perfectly located and spacious. The kitchen has everything you could need and there is a large mudroom with plenty of hooks for snow/ski gear. We loved hanging out in front of the cozy fireplace! We went for a weekend getaway for our anniversary and now we want to go back with our four kids and another family for a longer stay. The owner, Kathy, is very responsive, thoughtful and helpful. We would absolutely recommend this property!

From the second you enter the house your greeted with the “wow effect” of the living room and the magnificent tall windows. This log home had everything we needed for our family get-away. We did an early Thanksgiving dinner since we were all together. The kitchen was large enough for many hands to help. We had such a relaxing time just sitting in the living room with the wood stove going. The home has something for all. The basement has all sorts of fun games to enjoy. Close enough to town but yet far enough out in the woods to give a lot of options for activities to do. Love the home and all that it had to offer - it surpassed all our expectations! Great communications with the owner. All of our questions were answered very promptly and the guide book at the home explains everything very well . We had an amazing time !

This house is in a serene neighborhood, beautifully maintained and well stocked. Easy access to great hiking trails, Mount Washington and a day trip to the coast. Wonderful for leaf peeping season and the fire pit is a huge plus for evening relaxation.

My family (children and grandchildren) absolutely loved this home. We couldn’t have asked for a better set up. Everyone had their own space but the 10 of us easily had plenty of room on the main floor to hang out together!! The house was spotless and ready to go. We never even left while we were there - so much to keep the kids busy just being together.

This is a beautiful house with a very cool tree house and tree swing that the kids loved. It is private but close to town. It is very clean and has a well equipped kitchen and awesome area to relax and connect with family. The ping pong table and dart board make the large downstairs very fun! It is a spacious, well kept property. The owner was also very kind and considerate. We missed the first day due to the hurricane and, completely unprompted, she offered us a day on the other side of the vacation! I can't recommend this house more highly!

Absolutely gorgeous house and property. We had an amazing week canoeing and fishing the Androscoggin River. Golfing at Sunday River is so beautiful word can not do it justice. Local swimming holes are so fun. Lots of great local places to eat. Outdoor lover paradise.

Very clean with beautiful decoration and attention to detail. We had a mini heatwave and Kathy installed AC units which we very much appreciated. We had a great time in Bethel. Lots of summer fun including jumping off the cliff at Frenchman’s Hole, ziplining at Sunday River, and tubing down the Androscoggin. The home was clean and beautiful with all the amenities. Gorgeous views and spacious with room for 5 teens and 3 adults. We will definitely come here again!

My wife and I, my sister and her husband along with my parents stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my dads birthday. The house was fantastic, plenty of space for us all and for a small fee we were able to bring our dogs who also thoroughly enjoyed the home.
A group of us skied at Sunday River a few of the days which is a quick 20 minute drive around the river. On an off day we went to Carter Xcountry Ski facility which was a stones throw from the house to cross country ski and ride mountain bikes, it was great.
Amenities in the home were great, Kathy was extremely responsive to all questions and requests and I 100% recommend this home!
