This place is exceptional - Antonio, Marina and all the staff were super-friendly and helpful. We had a flat tire on the car in the first morning of our stay and while we could have gotten this repaired through the rental company, Antonio took it on himself to organize the repair - that is truly going above and beyond with the service. Additionally, we were able to have a late check-out and stay by the pool at the day of the departure. We stayed at the chalet which is a perfect for the family of 4, containing a small kitchen corner with all necessary utensils. Kids (and we as well) loved the pool, which is a decent size alongside with a nice area of beach chairs and umbrellas. Breakfast was actually better than we expected. Besides traditional sweet options, we were offered also eggs and coffee made to order and selection of hams and cheese - everything was very tasty. Property itself is located about a 30-40 min drive from Catania airport and there are good food options (try da Salvo pizzeria for takeaway) and grocery shop(s) in the nearby town. Also, for exploring the east side of the island, the location is perfect as driving north or south is about the same time to places like Taormina on Syracuse. You can park the car in a shaded area.

* If the chalet would have had a coffee machine, it would have been perfect. But at least there's a moka pot. * Lighting around the chalet and pool area in the dark was not functional. * Bedroom air-conditioner made noise from-time-to-time, but it was OK to turn it off for the night-time and leave main room one on only.

The property was amazing. So peaceful and all surrounded with nature. Apartment was excellent very comfortable and spacious. Very safe also for a 1 year old to run around and enjoy the time there.

We booked this accommodation based on the many glowing reviews and were really looking forward to a relaxing stay. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by Nisal, who kindly showed us around and remained available via phone throughout our stay if needed. We were a family of five and had booked two rooms — one for two adults and a child, and the other for one adult and a child. However, we were surprised to find the rooms located in entirely separate areas of the property. To move between them, we had to exit one unit, walk about 5 minutes along an unlit countryside road, and enter another complex. Each access point was secured with large, heavy wrought iron gates, and we were given a set of keys to manually open and close each gate every time we left or returned. This setup proved inconvenient, especially at night and with children. The pool area was also located in a separate part of the property and felt quite run down. The mosaic tiles were falling off, the sunbeds were faded and appeared unclean, and the overall space seemed tired. The on-site restaurant was closed during our stay, and for breakfast, we were given vouchers to use at a café in the village — a 6-minute drive away. Our room was comfortable enough, equipped with the basics, including a good AC unit and a decent bed. The bathroom had low water pressure and a broken shower door. My mother’s room, while clean, was tucked away on its own among the trees, very dimly lit, and felt too isolated for comfort — especially considering we had specifically asked for rooms to be next to each other. Overall, the location is very rural and peaceful, but it is essential to have a car. We ended up spending most of our time out during the day and used the accommodation primarily to sleep and shower. While there were some positive aspects, the layout and condition of some facilities didn’t fully meet our expectations.
