Ventana Bay resort is absolutely beautiful! We had an ocean view villa and all of the furnishings, artwork, tilework, even the bedspread and window coverings were classic Mexican.We could look out at the ocean from our room and see the beautiful sunrise and sunset. There is a lovely garden area with hammocks and comfy chairs to enjoy the view and sea breeze. The beach is right out front. The morning breakfast served on the open air dining room offered a perfect view and breakfast was delicious! Tony, the manager, is wonderful, so helpful, professional, personable. We don't do wind sports, but loved paddling boarding in the morning before the wind picked up. If you are a wind sport enthusiast, this spot is paradise! Even if you're not, it's an amazing, tranquil, gorgeous place to relax!

The room had beautiful Mexican decor with tiles and water crockpot. The water was filled as needed with daily housekeeping for the trash. The little patio with partial ocean view was sweet. The breakfast staff and food were delicious with great views. The common room was very nice. The general manager was wonderful and very responsive. Parking was easy.
The wifi was unuseable for us 90% of the time. We could not get much work done, even though we went to be right next to the satellite. We were offered use of the office which was very nice, but would have been awkward. The manager helped us when the shower water would not good hot (it was on eco mode) and after that it did get hot, but was VERY hard to control with the temperature knob. The location on the hill above from the beach is beautiful with some very artistic touches, but you cannot walk to any lunch or dinner eating options (the roads are dirt and very dusty).

I love La Ventana Bay Resort!!! I am going back every year since 2018 and I will keep going back
Wonderful management, great breakfast, right on the beach! Best kitesurfing or Winging school Jet Ski assisted.

The fact that it was right on the beach was the best thing
The rooms are very very basic for what they are charging.
The rooms are dated and dingy no plugin in the washroom . No hair dryer. Not the cleanest either.
Room service came and did the beds but one day they did a decent job the next the did not even stretch the sheets.
Bathroom sink was also randomly cleaned some days and some not even though they came and serviced the room.
Anyhow I just think that for what they are charging it is Not worth it.
