Location was superb, on the '60th' level overlooking the Gan River, with night time lights just fabulous. We looked down on the Tengwang Pavillion, also beautifully lit up. Great to stroll around the area, with locals very friendly and helpful to those with no chinese language. We managed some excellent Nanchang noodles in a small eatery. Most hotels in China don't have many staff with good English, but Hugo the concierge was incredibly helpful. The room was good, beds extremely comfortable, very comprehensive breakfast (homemade yoghurt!), and great coffee, what a surprise.
The room layout is a bit difficult as you enter almost straight into the bathroom, separate loo and separate wet room, but felt a bit odd. The lighting was dismal, I couldn't see to pack or unpack.

A second stay here to make the best plane connections, so it was easy as we knew the hotel and the area. Nice welcoming staff, there's always one member who has good English.
We asked for a queen but got two singles, that was a bit weird. Room looked back to the city rather the magnificent river, ask for a river view room, absolutely worth it.
