The hotel was clean and very conveniently located, within easy walking distance of the city centre. The staff were exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful. Their attitude and willingness to assist guests were definitely the biggest advantages of my stay.
However, in my opinion, the hotel was rather expensive for what it offered. The price for two nights did not include breakfast, which I only realised afterwards. Breakfast required an additional payment of €20 per day, meaning an extra €40 for my two-night stay. I find this quite expensive, especially considering the overall room rate. Unfortunately, the price-to-quality ratio was not particularly satisfactory.
The view from the room was absolutely terrible. I was staying on the fifth floor, overlooking the rooftops of neighbouring tenement buildings, which were covered with pigeons, dirt, rubbish and general mess. The overall view was extremely unpleasant and certainly not what one would expect from a hotel room.
The room was far too hot, and there was no way to adjust the heating because the radiators had no thermostatic valves or knobs. The windows were extremely old-fashioned, with an unusual locking mechanism that I had never encountered before. They could not be tilted or slightly opened for ventilation, so the only option was to leave them wide open all the time.
The lift was another major disappointment. It was incredibly slow, and the waiting time was often unreasonably long. Overall, these are significant shortcomings that should not be acceptable in a hotel, and they seriously affected the comfort of my stay.
