Fra Bartolomeo is perfectly located in Firenze. Host Giovanni was superb, stayed in touch so he could meet us and show us through the apartment. We are especially grateful that he was so understanding when we were delayed 3 hours. Giovanni visited again and provided us with hints and tips about local attractions - we were very grateful. The apartment is on the top floor and a very old building, complete with historic alfescoes in the entry way! There is a lift. The kitchen was well stocked, including a Bialetta Express coffee maker. We found parking on the street, and there is a very large supermarket, restaurants, and convenience stores very close by. We walked to the major attractions, and trams and buses are also nearby.
Firenze and Italy was suffering a heatwave during our visit - it was blistering hot, and temps did not reduce much in the nights. Thankfully, the two principle rooms at Fra Bartolomeo each have split system airconditioners, keeping us comfortable, although they have very high mileage!

It was a very very well organized space, providing us with all that we might need for a longer stay in Florence. I especially loved the kitchen that was small but it had everything one might need for cooking. This was especially useful as we were travelling on a budget, We communicated vey well with the owner, he was very accommodating with our schedule changes and plans.

Giovanni was very helpful and friendly, always gave us important information as it became relevant. There is a shop nearby, the centre isn’t far by foot (20 minutes). The kitchen is stocked, bed is comfortable, lovely balcony if you manage to get out there before it gets too hot. The place is very cozy and cute. Could not recommend enough!
