Staying at Ekoin Temple was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Japan. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, traditional accommodations, and the opportunity to experience Buddhist practices, including the morning fire ceremony. The evening tour and early morning walk through the ancient Okunoin cemetery were especially memorable.
Nothing in particular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Dinner and breakfast exellent.
Door to the rooms incredibly squeaky. I was woke up by people from another room because of that. Also thin walls, you can hear people talking. Not good when you try to go to sleep.
