The room was very clean and simple. Bathroom is avg japanese hotel bathroom situation, however the folding doors felt a bit cramped. Very helpful staff and accessible amenities was very nice.
2 main dislikes were that (1) you need your keycard, even in between floors. They tell you, you'll need your keycard to go up the elevator past the 2nd floor for security reasons, which makes sense. When doing laundry I went between floors, and having to repeatedly use the card was a bit of a hassle. (2) I'm pretty low maintenance, so I didnt require housekeeping. But if you reject housekeeping 2 days in a row they tell you they will need to access your room unless you have a valid reason. We didn't have a crazy reason, but kinda just felt unnecessary when we didnt need it.

Staff are very friendly, convenient location just only metres to the hotel.
Rooms and hallways had a musky smell, pillows are traditional Japanese pillows so they are very hard, location of hotel backs on to the tram line and there was a constant sound from the trams, rooms are not thoroughly cleaned, we found hair and a dirty pickster in the room.
Overall the I would not recommend to stay here.
