And do more than watching the water: swim off the dock or go for an adventure paddle up the seven-mile Bass River. Grab your fishing rods and cast off from the dock. What's nearby: Less than one mile from your front door is West Dennis Beach, a premier stretch of smooth sand and dune on Nantucket Sound. A less than one-mile walk also takes you to West Dennis village with its local restaurants, local stores, shops, and bars, including Sundancers and O'Shea's Olde Inne Irish pub. Take a drive to Hyannis or Chatham and find Cape Cod charm, historical sites, and a full range of shops, stores, and family activities. Things to know: Partial air conditioning (mini-split and window units) If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Dock details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Beautiful property, calm and amazing views, including sunrise which is not to be missed. A recent previous tenant reviewed that there was no heat in the common room, which was *not* the case. There is a split unit to heat the room (but no instructions on site, which may have helped this renter). Additionally she mentioned peeling wallpaper. As a long-time renter at The Cape, I found the little bit that was not adhering to be very minor (typical in a high humidity beach area) and wouldn't have noticed it if not for the October review.
Fairly well appointed kitchen, which was helpful since the four of us plus baby were eating in for all meals in our four-night stay.
I was disappointed with the property manager having called on Night 1 (Thursday) regarding a horrible, vibrating sound from the refrigerator, and we were finally visited by a worker mid-afternoon on Sunday. Fortunately, the noise and vibration ended after two hours and I didn't need to call for follow-up; but Vacasa should have reached out sooner than Day 4 to either check on status or apprise me of timing.
The home was very clean and beds were comfortable. Lovely, walkable neighborhood close to beaches. Pictures in listing are accurate.

The house is very old and weathered looking. The wallpaper in the bedrooms and hallway is peeling off the walls. We had no heat in the main room nor TV. The beds were horrific. We actually left early to come home to Connecticut. The worst vacation ever. Very disappointed.

We truly enjoyed our stay. This is an amazing property, with serene water front views. The home was clean, but old. It wasn't fancy but we had all the basics we needed. Beds were comfortable, sheets and bedding were clean, towels looked almost brand new. We would stay here again for sure.

The view is amazing but the rest of the house needs major updates. 1) air conditioners inadequate for that size house. 1 didnt work. Windows open have a great breeze but then up with the dawn at 5am!! And wind blows the shades into the wall. 2). Deck chairs are numerous but cant sit in them more than 20minutes without butt going numb. 3) rugs curl up so tripping hazards. 4) house was dirty. Food left in drawers. Plates dirty. 5) inadeqaute basic cleaning supplies. 6). Amenities listed were locked in garage. 7). Beds were terrible. Hard and very old. Pillows were old and borderline disgusting. If it wasnt for the view we would have left day 2… for what we paid it should have been way better. With some basic upgrades this place would be a gem!! Neighborhood was nice to walk in.

The view of the living room is hard to beat. The 3 bedroom configuration which we used with 2 couples gives sufficient privacy, and the en-suite half bath made the one showertub acceptable. Private dock on top, a Perfect retreat for the autumn week we visited.

Everything was fabulous. The views and birdlife were amazing. We even saw a seal! We loved morning coffee on the deck. It was very quiet at night and located centrally on the cape. The only issue was no extra toilet paper.

Nice location. Air conditioning was inadequate considering the extreme hot summer weather and the cost to rent this house for a week. There was no ladder on the dock if you wanted to swim you had to use a rope tied around a fence post and climb up the rock wall which was quite dangerous. Outdoor shower area was not clean and overgrowth of branches and clutter obstructed walkway. Kayaks, outdoor chairs, oars and other amenities were thrown in disarray in the garage. I stacked them neatly for next tenant. The Left bottom drawer of refrigerator was completely broken and unusable. Plumber showed up without notice and said he was there to install a new dishwasher. He asked where the new one to install was and I had no idea but ended up finding a new one in a box in the garage and he was able to to install. An utter inconvenience at the time but we had no choice but to deal with it. He said I thought you were notified, I said no one ever told us anything about this install. WIfi was intermittent at times and was quite frustrating when on a zoom and then it goes down. There was no TV instructions with the very small television to watch TV but could only get Netflix and no TV or other Channels. Toaster did not operate properly-sometimes it worked other times would not turn on. No information packet on the workings of the house and what lights turned on what so there was a learning curve. We enjoyed our time but for the price there was more to be desired.

Loved the location right on the Fingers in West Dennis. Great for kayaking and getting our sailboat out to Nantucket Sound. It was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and views that couldn't be beat! Loved watching the West Dennis sailing school go by every morning!
