The place is beautiful with a great view on the lake. The breakfast is so generous and yummy. The staff are really friendly.
As it is in a valley, and the room are in wood, the noise from the road and town can be heard at night. Also the curtains are so little and thin, you won't get a dark room either days or night. Bathroom is also very small.

ECO Bedugul adventurer camp is in a great location, overlooking Lake Beratan and just a short walk from cafes, restaurants and the temple. The staff are fabulous and so helpful. The cabins are “basic and rustic”, as we were told they would be - but comfortable and clean. And the breakfast was absolutely amazing ! The access isn’t the easiest (which we also knew), with a steep path one way or steep stairs the other, but it was good exercise after breakfast !
It’s not a “didn’t like” - more of a “be aware”. The best access if arriving by car is by the road above the cabins, not the “main road”. Google took us to the bottom of the hill - it’s better to follow the directions for Kupi coffee at the top of the hill.

Staff was very friendly, and they have a kitchen, so you can get nice and affordable food.
Would recommend if you are ok with the cons I describe.
Challenging location. The road there can be muddy and with loose stones. The stairs are of different heights, some much higher than the common. Lots of green around; you will be surrounded by flora and fauna. At night it was very noisy: there was the very loud motorbikes from downtown (hopefully a random occurrence, but happened both nights), and animals like rats running inside the roof panels.
The facilities were a bit lacking: low light, no drawers or cupboards (although there were shelves), and the access to the toilet was via two big and dangerous steps (can be scary at night).

"Everyone speaks great English, there was no miscommunication, which is a plus in Bali. We wanted to come back after the hike to take a shower and they accomodated us without asking for extra charge.
