The airport shuttle was bang on time. Okra House is definitely on the list for my next trip to Entebbe. It was a comfortable walk to Entebbe town and Victoria Mall - about 50 minutes. The public beaches are within easy walking distance.

The shower tiles can get a bit slippery but nothing that can't be solved by putting a towel down.

I will definitely come back there!!

From the beginning to the end of the stay it was great! Great communication before arrival, the driver was at the airport on time with a smile and a card with my name visible, and in the hotel there were also great people who served us there. The hotel is very close to the airport, with a nice garden and good conditions for staying. I recommend this place and I will definitely come back there!!

Covient location close to the airport.

Great location, great views, beautiful gardens and friendliest staff. Felt totally at home. Gloria goes above and beyond to help you in any way.

Beds are a little small but only for a tall person. Still slept fine.

Absolutely wonderful staff

Extremely friendly and warm staff. They made me feel so welcome even though I was arriving very late at night and was a bit delayed. Fantastic location too, a very short drive from the airport.

My stay was good

The location is good

There is too much disparity between booking with booking app and booking through WhatsApp number. It is way cheaper to book online. While the ideal should be opposite.

Good Stay-Excellent Staff & Airport Pickup

This is a nice small hotel to stay at. The staff is excellent. The room and bed were smaller than expected. I applaud the pickup from the airport. They waited 2 hours after arrival to get luggage and file a lost baggage claim.

The handy proximity to the airport is Okras biggest plus point. It offers a reasonably priced on-site outdoor grill restaurant and variably timed convenient breakfast.

It’s a small thing - While the bathroom is generously large, the shower wets the floor as there is no shower enclosure or curtain

Beautiful property near Lake Victoria

The location of the property, the well-maintained gardens and the views are breathtaking. It's a short trip to Victoria Mall by boda-boda (approx ugx 2,000) and the town. The staff were amazing.

The small size of the room approx 3x3m. I had to ask for a change. Also, need to change breakfast and restaurant menu to include Ugandan dishes such as katogo, luwombo, kwon, pork and pilau etc. Overall great experience!

Gloria was absolutely lovely! We only stayed for an evening before a very early flight but she was very attentive and extremely friendly and welcoming! Nice view from our balcony of the lake. Big en suite bathroom + good mosquito net

Shower hot water was a bit temperamental. Bed wasn't the comfiest but it was satisfactory for the time we slept there

My stay at Okra house was quite enjoyable and appropriate for my stay. Keep up the excellent service

The Staff at the facility especially Gloria really stood out when it comes to taking care of the clients. The location of the facility was quite appropriate for our meetings at Protea hotel.

There is need to improve breakfast. The current quality is low on protein.

Okra House is more than just a house but a true place of fun; excellent green and clean environment offering a quiet serenity. The place is at the heart of Entebbe but feels really isolated from the noise. And the staff, very excellent and friendly, specially Gloria. They were just so exception, making every guest feel at home.

Only a few meters from the Lake in an easily accessible area close to Entebbe city centre, the Airport and other attractions. Staff were friendly and humble, especially Gloria who was very resourceful.

Okra should improve on the breakfast, especially for long term stay travellers

Simple and convenient

The accommodation is close to the airport with a free pick up. It was straightforward to check in and get some sleep. It had black out curtains. Staff were great.

Room facilities were a little limited e.g. situation with plugs. Breakfast was basic as compared to some of my other experiences in East Africa.

Okra House in Entebbe is a nice small hotel that I had the pleasure of staying in during my recent trip to Uganda. One thing that really impressed me about this hotel was that they were always available online through WhatsApp, which made communication very easy and convenient. The hotel also provided a shuttle service, which was a great help since it was only a 7-minute drive from the Entebbe Airport. The shuttle was clean and comfortable, and the driver was very friendly and accommodating. Another thing I appreciated about Okra House was that they accepted payment by card, which made the process very quick and hassle-free. The friendly staff were also very helpful in providing local recommendations and arranging transportation for me. In terms of security, the hotel is located in a secured territory which gave me peace of mind during my stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing. Overall, I had a great experience staying at Okra House and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Entebbe. The friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, and excellent amenities make it a great choice for travelers.

The staff is incredible warm and predisposed to help. They always had a smile on their face. I think is the best part of the Okra Guest House. They made me really felt at home in just one day.

A great overnight place to stay on your way in or out of Uganda

The location is perfect if you arrive late at night (eg on Brussels Airlines or KLM) and are travelling on a budget. Less than 5 minutes from the terminal and very quiet. If requested they send their own car to collect you from the airport at no extra cost, even at after midnight. Breakfast was adequate, so overall good value for money. The staff were lovely!!

A minor (constructive) criticism is that I am not a great fan of the type of oscillating fan in the room. A fixed ceiling fan would have been better. They ought to consider having one luxury room with A/C for people who find the heat too oppressive at a slightly higher cost.
