Ik dacht pp de fotos gezien te hebben dat er een volwaardige keuken was. Dat was niet het geval en geldde voor het andere huis dat ook werd verhuurd.

I stayed at the A&A Jonathan Hasegawa.
The house is in a fantastic location right next to Kōraku-en and other trendy stores and restaurants.
It is very spacious, especially for Japan, with a unique architecture and memorable design choices. The bathing room in the attic has views over the Tsurumi bridge and the park.
There's an attached small garden space and the area is very quiet at night, which when combined with the interior design, gives a very peaceful aura to the home and made it very relaxing place to sleep.
Ideal place for short stays of one or at most two nights. Optimal for two friends or two couples, since there are two wide futons in the bedroom area with a revolving door to separate the space.
The house should have been cleaner. There were cobwebs and dust in parts of the home that don't have foot traffic but are still easily in reach or clearly visible; the bathing room had a damp smell on arrival that (fortunately) aired out quickly.
The wide staircase leading up to the bathing room is unsafe for taller guests. The steps are very shallow and the railing doesn't run fully on either side, forcing an awkward shuffle halfway down the staircase to get down safely.
The electronic locking mechanism on the front door ran out of batteries during our stay. Fortunately this happened during morning business hours and there was staff just around the corner at the sister hotel C&C to help, but we could have easily been locked out if it were late at night. I would expect battery levels to be checked before each stay, or for the mechanism to be wired to the mains.
The amenities are not replaced and the house is not cleaned during your stay, making it less suitable for stays over two nights. The cost is also poor value given the problems with the home, especially when compared to other options such as the C&C nearby.
