Beautiful compound with a relaxed atmosphere and a pool. The apartment was simple but it had everything we needed.

We had a very positive experience overall. Lorenzo, the host, was fantastic – friendly, respectful and extremely helpful throughout our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed, including a baby cot, high chair and wine glasses. He also made sure to speed up the cleaning when we arrived so that we could check in early.
The apartments are located in a peaceful and quiet area. The pool was clean and enjoyable, with plenty of sun loungers. We also appreciated that there were no strict rules around using the pool. Everyone staying there was respectful and considerate of one another.
Our two-room apartment had a large, enclosed outdoor area with a secure gate, which was perfect when travelling with a child. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and Lorenzo definitely made the experience even better.
A few things to keep in mind: Balestrate is quite hilly, and there is a very steep hill down from the property. After a few days, we definitely had stronger thigh muscles! The kitchen was also rather poorly equipped, although we were still able to prepare meals. We did have some ants indoors during our stay.
As we were staying for a longer period with two childs, a vacuum cleaner would have been very useful, as it was difficult to keep the apartment clean with only a broom. That said, we probably could have asked to borrow one and imagine this would have been possible.
The facilities could also benefit from a little updating, and a few of the sun loungers around the pool were broken and could use replacing.
Despite these minor points, we had a good overall experience and would especially like to highlight Lorenzo, whose kindness and helpfulness really made a difference.
