What a great apartment! Location, location, location--plus charm and all the modern conveniences.

My husband and I had an exceptional stay at Splendido Trilocale Zona Isola. The location was incredibly convenient, a scant handful of steps from the Porto Garibaldi station and in a lovely neighborhood full of restaurants and bars. Despite the lively location, the apartment itself was very quiet and comfortable--we did not hear any street noise and slept very well. The apartment was a terrific combination of modern conveniences and old-world charm, featuring tile floors and artfully painted ceilings. The apartment exceeded our expectations in every way, and when we travel to Milan again, we will most definitely stay there again.

There were no negatives associated with this apartment at all. The only hiccup was completely due to user error. It took us a few minutes to find the apartment when we first arrived, despite the owner's very detailed map with step-by-step photos. There are louver-style folding doors that conceal the front door to the apartment when closed. They were closed when we arrived, and we mistook them for window shutters--we did not realize that there was a door behind them! After closely studying the instructions left by the owner, we figured it out and got into the apartment without any issues (the lockbox was very convenient and easy to use).

Great apartment in lovely area

Lovely spacious apartment with easy access to city centre. Two mins from Metro. Loss of restaurants and bars in the area. Host is very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Only downside is the noise in the front room Where you can hear noise from near bars.
