About this house rental
Situated in Shively, this attractive house for $84 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Updated home near all the action at KY Expo Center (8min), Churchill Downs (4 min), UL Cardinal Stadium (6min), Downtown/YUM center (13 min) & Airport (5min). Enjoy the entire home, deck and large yard. 1 Queen bedroom on the first floor with a full bath and equipped Kitchen. King bedroom, office/bonus space, 2nd full bath and laundry downstairs. Street parking avaiable or parking in rear of home. Hosts are locals and would love to help you in any way!

This house served our needs and I would consider staying here again. It has been nicely remodeled on the inside. Beds were comfortable. Rooms and linens were clean. I wouldn’t say it is exactly spacious, but certainly adequate. 2 bedrooms were fairly small, as was the main floor bathroom. There is not room for 5 or 6 people to sit comfortably in the living room, partly because the one dining table is also in a corner of that room, taking up some of the space. The wooden dining chairs must be used if everyone is visiting in the living room, and 2 of the 4 are a bit uncomfortable. But these are manageable issues if you are not planning to spend most of your time in the house.
My biggest concerns were outside. In a transitioning neighborhood, it was a little unsettling to see upon arrival that our house was the one with the unmown yard. The grass was quite high. This was a problem in the backyard where we had trouble finding the gravel parking pad because there was so much high grass among the gravel. I don’t recommend parking in the back during major rain. In an unusually heavy rain, the backyard and sidewalk were flooded by several inches, and water engulfed my new shoes when I stepped out of the car.
Having said all this, we were fine staying in this cute smallish house. It served our purposes and we made memories there. It was also close to relatives we were visiting and some major area attractions. Who knows, maybe we’ll stay there again someday.

Overall positive. Comfortable beds. Plenty of quality bathroom towels. Nice layout of home. Happy to have access to a washer and dryer. Again, very satisfied with our stay!

This location was great for Derby weekend!
Host had great recommendations for us. She was quick responding to everything. Left us a cute welcome package for Derby weekend! Reasonable Uber rides downtown and close to the airport. Overall an excellent stay for what we needed! Thank you again

We enjoyed the separation of the basement suite. Two groups of people one in the downstairs one upstairs it was very comfortable. Enjoyed being together then retreating to privacy.

This house was so clean and tidy! We had enough space for both our kids to have their own rooms. A great place to rest our heads after exploring KY! Close to the highway was a major plus!

The owner is VERY responsive, checked in with us to make sure everything was going well with the house.

The home and location were accurately described but the house clearly not cleaned well by their cleaning crew. Sheets were dirty as if they had not been changed, in at least one room, as well as a stained bed spread. Towels were not well cleaned either. They needed to be bleached. (Upon checkout you start their towels in the washer so you’re at the mercy of the other guests, and there’s just basic laundry soap).
In the kitchen, there was a dirty fridge inside, the oven had a very greasy smelly pan in it that had clearly been Overlooked and the grease had run onto the oven and smoked awfully when we
Turned it on. Silverware was not clean nor was the drawer it was in. Most mugs and cereal dishes were Chipped and cracked. No kitchen towels, or hand towels in the bathrooms. Little to no hand soap.
The vent in the living room had old toothbrushes and junk in them, still has damaged blinds in the rooms from an earlier review.. table had not been wiped down and had sticky gunk on it that seemed to be there for ages, Rug was quite dirty. The property could be fine, as it’s been updated. And this neighborhood “is what it is” ; however the cleaning was not really what made it acceptable.

Perfect little home away from home. Quite neighborhood, easy to find and just big enough to give us some personal space but not so big kids could hide and ignore us. :)
Only suggestion would be (knit picking really) bring your own tp. The tp at house was a bit thin. lol

The stay was great! Communication with the host was easy. Anything I needed was answered quickly. The downstairs area was perfect for the teenagers when we needed a little peace and quiet. It was close to our destination, Walmart, dollar store, gas stations and restaurants. Literally the ONLY downside to the house is not all the rooms have a TV...not a big deal but having to watch Anime and "Stranger Things" for 3 days wasn't that fun lol. That was LITERALLY THE ONLY downside..will definitely stay again!

Nice place for our Louisville stay
We were in town for a conference, so didn't get to spend much time at this Louisville retreat. The house was as described and overall a nice place. Communication with the host was great and I was confident that if there was a need, I could contact her about it. Parking in the rear of the property was nice, but there was significant rain before and during our stay and it was muddy. The front yard also had not been mowed and was very tall when we arrived. It also would have been nice to have more than one key to the property for our group of 3 couples.
Overall a great experience and we all agreed we would stay here again given the cost, the communication, and how nice the home was to come back to each evening.

Great little house for a small group we are a small paranormal team that went to Waverly Hills for an investigation and run at this home to be close. Only complaint was the neighborhood was a little rough a few blocks away other than that it was a great time
