Nestled in Minneapolis, this attractive house for $105 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Brand new, custom built, fully furnished 2-bedroom carriage house in South Minneapolis. Combines Dutch Colonial charm with modern amenities. Warm and inviting, located in a historic neighborhood with excellent access to Downtown Minneapolis. Spacious rental for up to 6 guests is situated within 1-2 blocks of fantastic restaurants and coffee shops. Newly listed on VRBO. Search for and read the many 5 star reviews on the other major platform. (Can't link directly.) Kingfield Cottage includes full kitchen, washer/dryer and detergent, front porch, smart lock, access to a gas grill, free street parking, coffee pot and coffee grounds, luggage racks, pack and play, portable high chair, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and central heating/air conditioning. King Cottage utilizes trash, composting and recycling. The rental is cleaned with chemical free products and bedding is washed in scent free detergent. Strict house rules include no smoking, no pets and no parties/events. Hosts live in a separate house on the property for convenience and assistance as needed.

It was a great place to stay! Very home feeling. Had everything you needed. Parking is on the street and there was always a spot. The only small hurdle was having to carry our suitcases on the stone and rock pathway to the place which was also an upstairs entrance. We had been traveling already for five days prior so our bags were extra heavy.

This place is perfect for a family. It’s really cozy and comfy. The location was very central and close to what we had planned for our stay. We felt very comfortable and welcomed.

The house was exactly as described, with only good surprises. It’s a mother-in-law apartment above the garage, but it’s spacious and very new. All of the appliances worked beautifully, and the beds were super clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, but had plenty of restaurants nearby and was a very short drive into downtown. Would absolutely stay here again without question.

My family and I flew in for a Vikings game and this place was a perfect place to stay.. the stadium/douwtown was about an hour walking distance which was nice to be able to adventure/explore the town. We will definitely be looking to stay again next year if we come in for a game.

Owner's communicated well! Very comfortable 2 bedroom behind tenant house above the garage. AC was great as well as overall accommodations. Very close to downtown MN- were were in town for a wedding and used Uber. Parking for us was not a challenge but the street is busy.

This is separate guest house from the main house and for that reason is nice and private. It's clearly well cared for and clean. The neighborhood is what I would term as gentrifying, with newer construction starting to refresh some of the aged parts. Overall recommended!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this Kingfield home. It was in a walkable neighborhood with lots of restaurants and it was a short drive to downtown. The home is perfect for a family of three such as mine but could also work if you have more then one child because there are bunk beds in one room and the beds are queen size. They also store an extra bed in the main bedroom closet. The kitchen and bathroom are both good sizes and have everything you need. The backyard had a huge trampoline in it which is right in front of the rental home and it was a little difficult to get suitcases through the back yard. It is a pretty tight path to get to the home because of the stuff in the yard but once you get in the home it is great.

The actual place was well cleaned and a very nice stay. Had everything we needed for a quick weekend stay.
However, the wash machine was very very musty smelling and made the clothes washed smell awful.
The path way to the house was also through their backyard -which was completely fine - however, they had a garden hose laying all over the path. But tripping hazard especially for my little girl. Pathway could have just been cleaned up better.
Their kids also watch you through their windows.

Property was over a garage. Lots of steep steps to reach the unit. Had to walk through a very unkempt yard with pavers. Also overgrown and a hose wound across several pavers. Big liability for owner.

Nice two bedroom apartment in a mixed neighborhood close to downtown. Convenient to shopping and dining. Even though it is on a busy street, because it's located behind the main house you don't hear the street noise.

This is a lovely apartment. It looks as though it was just constructed recently, and everything is new and efficient. The owners were very helpful and did their best to provide anything we needed. We were there for three weeks while my husband had significant surgery at UM Fairview. I felt comfortable staying there by myself, but it was also comfortable for the two of us. Unfortunately the weather was quite awful, with lots of snow and ice. This made it difficult to navigate the path back behind the house to the apartment. The owners provided salt and grit for the walks, and they did all the snow removal. They also helped me find a place to park my car when I was required to move off the street for snow plowing. Although we managed fine, I would hesitate to recommend this place to anyone with a physical disability who might have trouble walking. Otherwise, it was a delightful place.

Great restaurants, coffee shops, and coop grocery store within walking distance. Street parking was easy and free. Apartment had everything we needed and the host was very responsive.

Exceeded expectations, both in accommodations and communications with host. Well stocked; spacious; comfortable beds; warm & cozy in January; clean and updated. We were all very pleased to have this place to call home for a few days, and we even added a pin to the map in the living room. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Just the perfect place to create a family Christmas! I am from MN and lived and worked in St Paul for 36 years until I make bed to Helena, MT to finish my career. I was able to decorate and make your VRBO feel like a family Christmas. It was great to have a roaring fire 🔥on the TV screen along with Christmas music.
We added our pin to the global wall and noticed another Montana pin!
So nice to have coffee and tea there to start our mornings. We did leave a few things in the refrigerator that we just bought on Saturday.
We forgot to lower the thermostat but sure were cozy while we were there. I would love to return next Christmas🎄

This had everything we needed and was in a convenient spot! Well stocked on essentials and the rollaway bed was very comfortable! Make sure you use google maps and park as close to the curb as possible during snow. Apple Maps wasn't able to find the house and my side view mirror was taken off by a snowplow but no fault of the owners. Would stay again!

We found the property extremely clean, quiet, and well appointed. It was comfortable and exceeded our expectations. On street parking was easy. The area is very walkable. We especially enjoyed the close access (1 ½ miles) to Minneapolis’ lake area. We highly recommend the Kingfield rental.

Our stay was fantastic! Only minutes away from our destination. The 2 bedroom, 1 Bathroom, kitchen, dining room & living room area was very nice/spacious—decorated & up-to-date. Parking available on the street. Steve, owner, was very nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Was not provided code for front door prior to check- in and had to message owner multiple times to obtain. Other than that the apt was just what we needed. Very clean and in a convenient area. Aside from check- in issues would stay there again.

The Boys couldn't stop raving about how amazing the location . Located perfectly for day trips to The Mall of America and perfect for trips to US Bank Stadium for a Sunday Vikings game. The guest house has 3 beds ready to go with additional beds in the closet if needed it could easily and comfortably sleep 6 guests . The Bunk beds are sturdy and capable of sleeping a grown man if needed .Exceptional hosts with a gorgeous guest house in the back . The only thing was that I couldn't find the ROKU remote but made due using my phone and installing a ROKU remote app on my phone . I hope this location is available for future bookings because my friends and I agree we hope to visit the great state of Minnesota more often for more Vikings games . SKOL VIKES !
A service station is located down the street and this was a life saver as we arrived late and did not have any food or beverages but this store was able to help us out .

Beautiful interior woodwork and countertops! Parking on the street, one must walk across someone's front yard, through a gate, past a sprinkler system, and across a maze of children's toys to get to the cottage. It's fine, but we did get soaked one morning. Also, the dishwasher wasn't working. We were warned about this on the day of our arrival, but I think a small refund would have been appropriate for the inconvenience of handwashing. All-in-all, pretty happy with our stay...

Went to Minneapolis for the weekend to see the Vikings play and to tour the city and Mall of America. The property was less then 10 minutes away from both and had quite of few places to eat nearby. Great location and clean, spacious property. The host, Steve, was quite accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property.

We had a very nice stay. Did note receive check in code, had to message owner. Detailed instructions on how to access property would be helpful. Knowing that the property was in back on top of the garage and that you beed to enter through a side gate, would be helpful.

Kingfield Cottage
The cottage, newly built behind main house, was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Furniture and appliances were all virtually new. We arrived late at night but could check ourselves in using the key pad on the door. We found a few nice stores, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.
