Clean and lovely property with comfortable beds, good food, and clean environment. Staff accomodated us quickly with a last-minute reservation and picked us up and dropped us off from the airport.

Good place to stay in Kigoma, just a few minutes away from the train station and the main street (restaurants, shops, etc.). It's clean and comfortable. The room has a good size and distribution, and the shared balcony was nice. The breakfast was generous.

Some of the staff were very helpful. The place is clean. The breakfast is decent.
Two things that potential guests should be aware of.
Firstly, the single rooms are not good value. For £35 you get a small, noisey, dark room at the back of the hotel.
Secondly, the hotel does not have fans or mosquito nets in any of the rooms despite advertising on booking.com that they do. Without fans or mosquito nets you will get bitten by mosquitos and this is a malaria endemic area.

I know we are in Africa and I know I cannot expect European standards. But I think the staff are very lethargic. When I enter the reception, there are four staff members, each with their own mobile phone. no one looks up to look at me. The person I am addressing is clearly irritated at being disturbed. She reluctantly puts the phone down. all the while we talk she picks her nose. Sorry, but it can be done better. Not one of the staff would be able to get a job in a European hotel. The internet is very fluctuating, despite what they had promised me the opposite.
